Alright ladies and gentlemen, I'm testing waters on my 1997 Nissan 240sx I recently purchased from the original owner. Unfortunately, it is an base model automatic 240sx, but is 100% factory car with the exception of the aftermarket radio.
It was bought from an Atlanta, Ga Nissan dealer back in 1998. This was the last of 3 units sold there from what the older guy told me. It's been in Atlanta so there aren't any rust or corrosion issues whatsoever.
The car currently has 219k miles on the original KA24DE and automatic transmission. It doesn't not overheat, misfire or any chain rattle. Doesn't smoke, I've cranked it up in the morning and I haven't noticed any valve stem leaks. I've only owned the car for 2 weeks and drive it a total of 20 miles home so I couldn't say if it burns oil. It's got 219k mile so chances are it probably does. It does have a check engine light on for knock sensor and egr valve (typical 240 problems)
The body does have dings, but nothing a beginner body person could fix. I would say it's 6/10 condition. Clear is fading so honestly it would need paint. It also got a broken headlight.
The interior is all intact. The only issues is the typical driver side arm rest area crack. Dash have no cracks, seats have ripped and no missing panels.
The rear subframe bushings are starting to come apart so they will need to be replaced soon. I can feel the subframe bushings only when go from park to reserve.
It was involved in a car accident where the trunk had to be replaced because it was rear ended. No structure damage or bent frame. I do have a autocheck in hand to verify that there is no salvaged/rebuilt title.
I'm asking $5,000 firm. I am in absolutely no rush to sell, no do I have to sell. If not price is too much, then this car is simply not for you.
I'm located in Atlanta, Ga. I can have the car transported anywhere in the lower 48 states if distance is an issues. Fees must be covered by buyer., unless you're local or close enough to to pick it up.
Txt me at 404-980-2611. Please bare with me on pictures as I'm on my phone at the moment.
