SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD
Ishihara Johnson Crankscraper setup for SR20DET for sale. This is the kit from Crankscrapers.com. Decided not to use it since we had already WPC treated just about everything. I'm including a modified sr20 upper oil pan, but it will need some additional grinding and a broken oil pan bolt extracted. I'm also including a new Teflon insert in addition to the one that is already installed on the scraper. $400 picked up. I can ship for additional. Slide into DMs if interested.

Yes, and there is also a windage tray/baffle that minimizes frothing and aeration of oil. If your oil is frothy when it gets sucked up by the oil pump, it has diminished viscosity and offers less protection.

I dont see anything over $170 for the SR20 on their website. Why is this kit youre selling $400?

I've attached my invoice, detailing what I ordered (which is what I'm selling).
ALSO, I'm including an EXTRA Teflon insert, which is roughly $50 value, and is not shown on the above invoice.
AND I'm including an sr20 upper oil pan (ive seen them go from $75-150 used) which has already been modified to clear the FULL LENGTH crank scraper (not the cheaper 3/4 length one). I had to order the $35 precut piece to weld into the upper pan separately, and it is not shown on the above invoice. Hiring a Welder/fabricator to cut and modify an upper pan isn't cheap either. We actually had to do two. The first one cracked due to the heat of welding on cast aluminum, he had to go back and do a second one for me.
I feel the price is more than justified, considering what you're getting. Feel free to pm me offers if you think otherwise.

Post this the Nissan road racing forum. Might have better luck there.
FWIW I have the same setup on my stockish KA24DE and I'm pretty sure it has allowed me to get over 60+ hours of proper racing without killing the motor.

That's not a bad idea. I'll post it there too.

What additional grinding is required? Does it mount to the main caps requiring me to unbolt the main bolts?

there are some areas on the inside of the cast aluminum upper oil pan that will need to be ground down to clear the scraper.
you do have to unbolt the mains to install this. you don't have to remove the main caps, just remove the bolts and girdle, install this, then the girdle sandwiches on top of it.
