changed the fuel filter (z32). Afterwards white smoke came out of the exhaust when I started the car and while I ran it for a few minutes. After letting it run awhile it went away, but if I let the car sit awhile it will do it again upon startup. I'm confused because it doesn't smell like oil, just smells like regular exhaust.

changing a fuel filter shouldn't do that...
white smoke typically means you are burning coolant. keep driving the car and monitor your temp gauge. also, check to see if your coolant level is going down.
oil would be blue, which really has nothing to do with the z32 filter.
in cold weather its normal for white stuff to come out at first... its just condensation in the exhaust burning off as steam as the car gets hot.
