cheezer teaser!

thank you for those who are still contributing to my car
sorry jay =\ i've already got the rears. i was too impatient so i just went along and got these down here in my area.
this time it's the typical fn01r-c, typical 17x9+15 front 17x10+15 rear...
those c-west underbody flares are there for a reason

nice. the rears are actually +12, not +15 offered. You must not be running much camber up front, my wheels don't stick out that far. I say run more camber, camber and a little less fush (which will still be uber flush) looks better IMO than even more flush and no camber. Cheers.

okay, good job on finding a tire that'll fit in your fender... now score the proper rim size and you're all set....

MakotoS13

i think he's showing us how he's embarrassed that he bought the wrong sized tire so he wants us to tell him how to correct it.

yeah, this "teasing" shit is pretty lame. :gives:

Oh, and those wheels and stretched tires look gay as fuck. :ghey:

psychedelicbeats

i'm sorry if i can't afford it, but shit happens. besides, the tires were already mounted on. i'm not god's gift with cars so i don't really give a shit about rim protectors. at least some of you noticed. if those who care so much, let me see what you have then.
edit: oh yeah, correct me if i'm wrong, but i just saw one of your cars on the sig link. some fucking beat down s13. oh wow, you sure look like you can talk down on a person with something that my mom drives (seriously) :-/
and you're just looking at shit from the outside. i doubt you're crazy on the strip with that stocker. don't reply to any of my threads again.

fn's SUCK! hah... except good track wheels. BadMoJo, i've been looking into your cobra wheels(i think) as track wheels too, but could never have found the correct one. i need some 9in wide wheels so i can correctly put 245s down(yeah... 245s! i know!) on the rears instead of 10 and 225s so i can put my damn foot on the pedal. cobra wheels seem pretty logical to me... shed some light here and hook it up with some info please! i shoulda saved pics when i actually had equips to negate some of this bashing, but lets set that aside for now. whoops, i think i accidently leaked some information about my car

here's a photochopped version of when i had two of them in the back and photochopped 2 in the front. it looks pretty much the same in real life. so some of you post whores should apologize! RAWRRRRFDSSFFDSAJKLFDSA i'm just teasing! and yet another thing being leaked: it's a damn a photochop ='( . oh yeah, i forgot, this was in relation to the a sign of things to come (part 1) post...

how's this? i REALLY like the 10" rim... i just hate this application. it makes no sense.

RBS14
09-20-2004, 12:16 PM
for drifting and looks it most certainly does. You may not like the intended look, but some poeople do.

MakotoS13
09-20-2004, 02:25 PM
make sense? why not stretch the same tiny tire on a 9"? you'd get the same effect and not have more money wasted on more rim to trash...

RBS14
09-20-2004, 04:55 PM
I already said why, because it looks hot. Ever looked at the back of an S chassis with 9" rear versus 10"? looks a lot different, even with stretched tires. I don't know about him, but I like the look of the 10" Fn's WAY better than the 9" ones. And If you put that tire on a 9" rim, there'd be more sidewall flex too. running a wider rim also gives you the ability to run wider tires (dissipate heat better and therefore last longer) and still have them stretched. I know he's not running wider tires now, but he very well may be intending to in the future.

And If you put that tire on a 9" rim, there'd be more sidewall flex too.

Or you could get good tires and avoid having to do the MaD JDM y0!!! tire stretching thing (which I still fail to understand).

I run 245/45/17 Azenis Sports on a 17x8 rim and have never had an issue with sidewall flex. Then again, if the car is sitting still the sidewalls stay perfectly upright until there is less than 10psi in the tires.

~matt

RBS14
09-20-2004, 05:42 PM
However, Azenis last half as long as any other tire i've drifted on, so they aren't fit for it. Stretching is simple, eliminating sidewall flex. you man not notice sidewall flex gripping, but going from full lock one direction to full lock the other direction drifting will most certainly make the stiffest sidewalled tires flex. so stretching reduces that.

MakotoS13
09-20-2004, 05:49 PM
so you want the 10" rim regardless of the fact tat you have half an inch of EXPOSED metal on either sidE? COUNTER PRODUCTIVITY. i mean, if you like the look that's fine just don't tell me it looks hot cause it looks like crap to me and anybody else that enjoys a car that's completely A to Z classy.

ya know, if you guys were really hardcore about doing less sidewall flex AND doin it right you'd get a taller rim with lower profile tires... but hey, i could be wrong...

i guess it's just a bad habit of mine to want things to fit properly...

pointless.
I like stretching to a point. Like what i'm running now, 245's on 9.5" and 225's on 8.5". And Im going bigger next time. 255's on front 265's on the rear. No sidewall flex sucks for driving at the limit.

automatic? chyess! at least someone knows i'm posing it up! actually my car's yet to be going through any mechanical work kenny. it's just that i goto school 8-1:40, work 2-8, also school 8-3 on saturday and sunday is free, which leaves me to very little time to crack open the motor and tranny mounts. it takes a long ass time, as this is my only means of transportation. except for my project car. anyways, this car's going through slow stages cause i am looking forward to my other car... when this semester is over though, i'll be able to actually get some free time for some elbow grease. ot: i just got a fixit today for a low car ='(

don't get it twisted with the tire stretching. i got the wheels new w/mounted used tires, so take a chill pill.

makotos13, let me see your wheels

makotos13, let me see your wheels

hahhahhahha, what wheels? i got 15x7 ten year old FWD enkies... that prolly weigh less and have a greater contact patch than yours :)

http://angelcomps.ultraclear.net/240/5.jpg

it isn't a competition, i realize that my entire car looks like poop right now. that's sort of what has to happen when you start over completely. i don't expect any surprise and i sure as hell ain't about to post "teaser" or some lame crap like that. if you've done something with your car you wanna share, fine, just don't expect Aholes like me to zip it if we see something outta whack.

see, my wheels look like poo but i can admit it. they were free but i do like the look of pasture rotted rims better than the tires-five-sizes-too-small look. i mean, you're WHEELS are the sex. i love the tens in the back... they just need the rubber to accompany them or else it looks like rotten dogcrap. it was never a personaly insult, i just think that your taste in tire-application sucks at the moment. yeah, they came on the rims but i sure as hell wouldn't drive my car with mexican flush tires that don't even go near the rim.

good night and good luck.

Mike13: haha you are joking right? you are calling a 245 on a 9.5" rim stretched? I guess everyone has their own definition.

that big ass pic aint mines.. hah mines look nothing like that. i dont mind stretching but i would buy a tire without rim protectors if i wanted to stretch like that. other than that, i would get 235 to stretch, not 215

dude... they both look like almost the exact same blasphemy to the rim/tire/road/track gods:)

and you guys trying to make sense of it won't because it doesn't and never will. it's a shortcut to make a car "drift" easier. big effin deal.
