I have a Zenki chassis and a zenki harness that has been snipped at the front accessory area. I have the front cut of a JDM model kouki harness and need to merge them together for Headlights, turn signals, horns, ect..

Colors do not match between the harness's. I do have FSM/diagrams for my chassis but do not have an FSM or wiring diagram for the JDM kouki harness. Any assistance is greatly appreciated such as well as a JDM kouki model wiring diagram..if they differ from USDM harness's. As for headlights I did read that I have to run a relay for each headlight so I will be working on that soon.

*EDIT* Please fix spelling in title, thanks.

Thank you, this full archive should help a bunch. Now any knowledge if the USDM and JDM kouki wiring colors are the same?

I have a Kouki SR in my 97, I think most colors matched up. I used a front clip. I'd verify with the pin out though.

Yeah I will have to see once it is in front of me. Any area in the FSM where it states the exact code designated for specific wire colors?

The General Info section lists the color code if that's what you're asking. Stuff like W= white, G= green, L= blue, etc.

Actual colors are reused through out, there's only so many, so yellow with green stripe could be neutral switch, front turn signal, or an ABS sensor. There won't be a list like that, you'll have to step through each section.

AH I see, alright that is a good thing for me to keep in mind actually. Thank you for the notice. I will check this out and hopefully make some progress.

I wonder if the harness from Japan uses different colors vs the US Kouki harness diagram that is in the FSM . Could anyone verify this for the kouki harness? Thanks much.

At this rate I may attempt putting the steering column back into the vehicle and doing process of elimination with a test light.

Pretty sure the early kouki harness used the same colors as the zenki, check out the jdm zenki fsm
