Has anyone done this swap ? I'm LS turbo swapped and I need the tall final gear. I really don't want to swap in an R230 either. I've searched but cannot find a definite answer.

Haven't done it but technically it should work. I'm looking into putting either the F50 or Pathfinder 3.13 ring and pinion into my Y32 vlsd. There are some variations in widths of the housing but I think you're ok with the Y33.

Good luck, LS turbo sounds like a blast! I'm single turbo built 2jz 6 speed, it's great but with Supra 3.13 gearing I think I could run the 1/4 better.
If you remember reply to the thread if it works, you don't always have to spend a ton to get a good rear setup but you have to be resourceful.

My car is a Frankenstein car ! Its a '74 260z with an LS 4.8 turbo(gt45), Viper T56, S13 rear subframe, Rx7 leather seats, z32 calipers(F/R), coilovers all around. I'm still building it !
I will definitely post up if it works out ! I'm looking for a f50 diff right now !

I wonder if the 2002 q45 will swap straight over in a s14. Damn why can't it have a lsd in it.

I'm going to try and fit the R&P from the 02' q45 diff to a 97' q45 diff.

Just gotta save up a little bit more to get the f50 diff. I'll post what I find out.

Damn the early model rearends are more then the later model. I guess it's because the late rare open doffs. There's no vlsd options for the later q's. Wonder if it would fit in a z33 case. Sorry I know nothing bout rearends.

Why not just change the ring and pinion ratio on your differential? There are 3.5, 3.6, 4.08, 4.3, 4.6, and 4.9's that all bolt up to the oem s13/s14 differentials.

No updates yet other than I have a 97-01 Q45 diff now. I'll have to wait because I have a kid graduating and a lot of money is flowing out of my pocket at the moment.
TheRealSy90 - That's what we(me at least) are trying to achieve but just taller like a 3.23, 3.13, 2.94 due to LSX turbo swap.

I'm wanting to use the 3.2 ratio. Would it be easier to just use the 02 diff and bore out a s14 lsd to accept the 13mm bolts of the q ring

That sounds logical !

Damn I forgot I need the abs crap. Can the abs sensors be added to a nonabs unit.

I bought a 2006 pathfinder 2wd 3.13 differential. I'd like to use it in the Q45 or s14 r200 housing, it's the pinion size/shape that I'm worried about.
I'll let you know the results when I have them.
