About 3 months ago I replaced the head gasket, all chain parts, crank seal, oil seals etc. To put the timing cover on I had to cut the head gasket.Does Nissan or anyone make a shorter gasket with cut out for the timing cover? After I used the Nissan liquid gasket i had a oil leak near where I had cut the head gasket.I globbed on liquid gasket near the spot and kind of fixed it.So has anyone had a similar problem with your gasket?

Nope. If you damage it you just have to apply more RTV around the area, basically what you did but afterwards. Take it back apart and fix it right.

Your definately not supposed to cut the front of the headgasket off on sohc with timing cover reassembly. Its tight going back on but doable. You will fight leaks forever the way it is, silicone will never seal it. And no there is not a short gasket replacement.
