Hi yall! I just came from the sr20 forum land to seak help and wisdom from everyone here  . I hope everyone can help me out so i don't put 12-15k and create a car that is mutant :bite: . I plan on creating a daily driver/ weekend honda killer.
Overall I am planning on running a blacktop and considering either a Gt28R or a Disco Potato. Coilovers, Ings Body kit, general engine and turbo componets I have figured out.
I am just looking for some help with choosing breaks/rims/tires/paint color *i like pearl blue... just not sure what shade*. Silver rims with a star design appeal to me. I will post my list of engine componets I will most likely purchase tommarow... so I may see some :keke: faces from some of yall and if so please be friendly and give me a :wavey: and tell me what you think.

Man you like smiley’s. Just use the search button. Push the search button at top right, and type in Break's, to start you off.

oh sorry, my bad. though, if you had succeeded in tricking him, he probably still would have found some info, with the way people spell around here. i wouldn't be surprised if i found all the good brake threads by searching for "breaks"

That's a lot of stuff for under 300 HP. (as far as I can guess)
I suggest making a "V8 killer", it sounds more badass than HONDA KILLER. (Killing a 100 hp economy car doesn't sound manly, but then again...an EG with a stock H22 engine will smoke this 'dream list car')
Port and/or polish is not going to do anything for you.
What's a Kuwano Direct Power System Metal Plus?
I suggest you save all that money for a down payment on a brand new STi. That's just my opinion, so don't let it get to you.

damn man, it must be nice being rich. I got my S13 about 3 months ago, and I am really looking forward to a blacktop, but it seems so out of reach. I will only go for a entire front clip because a friend of mine did the conversion with just the motor. It ended up costing him way more because he didnt get all the wiring and stuff. I decided the first thing I want to do is paint it, and make the interior nice, then I will do the engine and handling things.
Thats another thing. Am I the only person here who doesnt want their car to drift? I have been a long time enthusiest of Ferraris, and work at a Ferrari dealership in the parts department. Being around cars that handle so well, I wouldnt want anything else. Can someone help me out here? I dont know whats good for this and what isnt. I know I need sway bar upgrades and suspension and brake work, but what do you think I should get?

i say dang. that's never been done before. i can't think of anyone that's ever done this before.
you don't have the money and by the time you get it your opinion of what's cool will have changed too many times to count. just buy a car and fix what's wrong with it or get flamed every time you ask for help making up your own mind... its a waste of ours and your time.

Is it really a waste of time for me to ask for someones opinion of things? Like I said, I am new into this stuff, but have quite a bit of research into SR20 conversions and stuff. When it comes time, I will need help knowing which turbo is optimum. Would it be the T26(i think) that comes in the S14? I will want to do a front mount, but which front mount works most efficiently with a SR20? I dont want a car that is going to have so much power to twist the driveline or anything, I just want something respectable. Maybe around 250-275hp. Will that be too hard to do?
I think the main thing that killed this thread was the "Honda Killer" thing. Thats just me though. Just do your research like most of us did on this forum.

Stay away from Blitz, their front mounts are only efficient with turbocharged 6 cylinder engines and some turbo Hondas. The HKS unit is good for SR20s, especially when drifting (which totally rulez by the way!!!). The GReddy is definitely designed for Mitsubishi 4G63 motors, since they have a different method of post-turbine air flow.

http://takakaira.com/asp/template.asp?cat=2&id=1062 Thats info about the Kuwano
I acually will be happy for 300hp since I am going to college soon and well... when your in college you are POOR. I bet I can hear some testimony about that. Also I don't plan on going extreme on HP since 93 octane is pretty expensive... basically a car that will last me thru college and will be intact for further moding once i get out.

Also I am only going to insure this car as a 91-93 *depending on what i get* 240 and maybe later on i can afford to find a provider who knows what a silvia is. at 1500 a year for insurance i think getting a wrx or and sti or something more well known will just be over kill to pay. Also what i ment by honda killer is pretty much smack the crap out of the ricers out there *plenty around here* who think that having headers and a coffee can exhaust makes you fast. I also plan on attending autocross and have riden in quite a few cars with the FLEX suspension... and I love it. Currently I drive a 200sx SE-R. Nothing fancy but its my first car and I have learned a lot from it

For me anything better than the stock breaks will be great for me... I am just trying to deside on what rims to get and find the proper offset.... so overall i need to do this offset+brakes+tires that fit the rim= quality job that doesnt look funny *like low rider cars with huge offsets and massive rim width*

This is funny. Seriouly Calvin Kline American Motor Company, your parts list sounds like you read the last 10 issues of Super Street in a row and just selected random parts from all the Drift Silvia articles. You need to slow down and research ALOT more. I'm not bashing your plans (completely), I just feel you need to actually drive the car and then decide what parts are best for you. Research is key. I have acually never read Super Street... infact all i have ever read were sr20/nissan sites that post articals online and look and see what they do and what they have produced and what they have learned. I am also basing a lot of my researchfrom what i have learned at an sr powered forum that i have been on everyday for the past 8 months.
If you all have any opinions on what I should do then please let me know via pm or email me. Im not looking for high HP but an SR that will last a good long while and ride great... and when needed/wanted be able to kick some ass! But now im back to researching more here on zilvia and see what people have done. Current keyword now is "project" :)
