Z32 300zx sr20det swap kit

Looking to swap your sr into a clean shell, but can't find a decent unmolested s-chassis anywhere? You're in luck! I am selling a complete one-off swap kit for an sr20det into a z32 300zx. I had this kit developed for my cobalt green z32, which weighed in just over 2800lbs on the scale with only the engine swap! That's with full interior, ac, stereo, dual exhaust etc.

Included in the picture below:
-Custom FMIC piping with couplers, clamps, and filter with maf adapter
-Custom PBM Cobra divorced wastegate downpipe
-Custom 3" to dual 2.5" test pipe with hanger
-New oem Nissan O2 sensor
-Mazworx sr/vg trans adapter bracket with hardware
-Custom heater pipe
-Samco radiator hoses
-Power steering lines and reservoir: braided high pressure, feed and return lines with fittings included

Not pictured, but included:
-Custom engine mount brackets
-Plug and play engine wire harness
-Dakota Digital tach converter
-Modified z32 vg trans bell housing for mazworx adapter
-Modified crossmember

Parts you need to complete the swap:

-Z32 chassis with manual trans
-sr20det engine w/ clutch/flywheel
-fmic
-bov
-radiator

The craftsmanship of all parts is top notch. Look closely at all of the welds etc. Looking for $3k for the bolt-in kit and I'm also willing to complete the swap for a fee.

this is fucking sweet. GL, i own a z32 but in the middle of a ls swap. you gotta understand the swap kit for a ls is around 3-4k. so competing with that might be hard.

Your car won't weigh in under 3k lbs with an ls, so someone who is interested in a lightweight setup won't be deterred. I provided a pic of my scale weight with nearly perfect corner balance for reference. The only completed ls z32s I've seen weighing in are around 3400lbs. A lot of people have a good sr lying around whereas most people aren't sitting on an ls. Plus most ls swap kits for $3k wouldn't include virtually every component necessary like a wire harness with Dakota digital converter. Mine does. The little parts add up fast.

Your absolutely right. Sorry my man. This is a sweet swap kit and if I knew back when I might have gone this route. Goodluck with the sale. I also think I've seen your build thread on club300zx? the z is heavy, hopefully someone slaps a big turbo on this to get such a heavy car to move haha.

No build thread on 3zc. But 2800lbs isn't that heavy, that's stock Kouki weight and I could see someone getting the z down to 2600lbs with a little bit of modification. It completely transforms how the z handles, it is very swift and nimble once you shed the heavy powerplant. Like a whole different car.

I presumed this kit would appeal to someone who might see it as a business venture, to purchase a kit that somebody has already done the legwork to design. Take the kit and copy it to market it. Or someone who saw the z's heavy weight as a disadvantage but still wanted to own one. Either way it has the potential to help build an incredibly clean z32.

Power is only good for moving the car one direction. Reduced weight is beneficial for every direction. Sr20 power levels are only limited by your wallet, but parts are cheaper and more readily available.

Plus it's not remotely the same price. A swap isn't just a motor and some mounts and other tidbits. Once you complete an ls swap you realized you've spend a lot more money on things like setting up the steering system, electrical system, ac, etc. The ls swap kits out there don't include every last bit you'd need to swap the engine over. You'd have at least twice as much money invested in a legit complete ls swap compared to an sr swap. And as I already mentioned, a lot of people already have an sr sitting around and can't find a decent chassis to swap it into. This kit resolves that problem.

In other words, this is a swap for someone who understands physics.

No freakin' way in my experience. They're light for a V8, but not that light when you actually include stuff like the big driveline stuff and things like that.

I find that really hard to believe, especially since a dude has one in Raleigh with the heavier T56 trans and claims it weighed in right around 3000 lbs with half a tank of gas and everything still in it right down to the spare tire and inflator. Also, since the LS unquestionably weighs less than the VG and that's as much as a stock TT weighs. Must have been an iron block truck motor with a turbo or something. Either way, nice kit and no, you won't get a decent LS kit for anywhere near that price. GLWS.

So far the aluminum block ls cars I've seen weigh in were all over 3300lbs, and I've paid close attention to these since I'm swapping an ls into my kouki. I like them and they're a fun setup, but one that's fully installed weighs hundreds of pounds more than an sr. After counting things like full dual exhaust and dual manifolds, the weight adds up fast. It doesn't really matter whether you believe it or not, the facts remain.

Awesome. I just requested to join the group. How difficult would you say it is for the wiring? That's all I'm worried about but I have many people that can help out with the wiring. Does it make it more complicated if I want to run a standalone? I'm going to be running an aem.

Hey I'm doing this swap right now. It's honestly not that hard. It is really just getting all the parts together. If you have an sr laying around the swap will be cheap. Join your local 240zx or a chassis Facebook groups. Find cheap parts and order a bell housing adapter. Most expensive part of the swap. But all in all it is not too hard of a swap. I got all of the used parts I needed for about 150. And all I have to buy new is a gasket kit for my sr and the bell housing adapter. If you know anyone who can fab or if you have a welder and a grinder you can do it
