Trunk wont open!!! (s14)

Umm ya,so pull my inteior latch an I hear clickin an trunk wont open! My key hole is shaved so ixnay on that,umm what do I do? It worked fine till I stuffed my stock exhaust through my whole car,hehe? :hammer:

If you can get back into the trunk there is a valet switch towards the bottom of the latch that you could of hit when you stuffed your exhaust through there. If that is not it you can just pull it a bunch of times till it opens, that is what i have to do.

haha climb through your rear seats and flip the switch underneath the trunk latch

so this switch is visable,is it what,dead center of where of the latch would be? I have to remove an plastic?

yeah pretty much.. bring a flash light while you're in there.

so what do you do when you can't move the switch anymore left, or is it supposed to move to the center? my switch does nothing.

it's a small lever that moves up and down. just pop one way and test your trunk release. if it still doesn't work then pop it the other way try again. If neither works, you fucked!! :)

Just make sure you pop it ALL the way or else it won't work. It should click.

And adjust the latch and striker after you get it open. 9 times out of 10 they get out of adjustment from people slamming the lid closed. It should spring open about 2 inches when released.
