My left light does not go down

My left light on my 90' 240sx doesnt not go down, it goes up but not down, my dad said it might be shorted out, anyone have any sugestions

check the motor..... maybe its only going on way (i have no clue what im talking about, its just a suggestion)

My dad said i might have to get a new one, if that is the porblem

this is pretty common i think...i've had headlight problems on my past 2 89's.....i know this is going to sound pretty redundant but, it's probably a short somewhere or if not then probably the motor so i would check that also...i cant tell you exactly right now cause i'm not at home and all my electrical diagrams are at home but that's what it sounds like to me right now.

Yea it happened to me before, I just used a lot of WD-40 on all the moving gears etc. I also opened and closed it a couple times manually and it never happened again.
