View Full Version : RB25det turbo hole! t3/t4 swap

i just got a 240sx with an rb20det swap and an rb25det turbo but the the tanny is blown so i can test drive it to see how it will work but there is a hole i believe where the oil feeds through can i weld this or do i need a new turbo if so is a t3/t4 a good bolt on?

The info is vary vague and a little hard to understand what you're trying to say.
To answer your question about the turbo, a t3/t4 turbo is a good hybrid turbo, but more info is needed to fully help you because I'm not sure the manifold is t3 or not.
In terms of the hole you're talking about, I'm not sure because there should be an oil feed and drain hole on all turbos.

I have pictures i just dont know how to post them but the hole isnt on the turbo itself there is like a 6 inch long pipe that the oil supply line connects to on the left of the turbo

Some turbos are oil and coolant cooled so you might be talking about the coolant feed line.
Honestly, if the turbo requires that type of cooling, I wouldn't weld it.
If you don't want to mess with coolant cooling, buy another oil only cooled turbo.
