Hello, I'm selling my 1986 Toyota Soarer 3.0 GT Limited (MZ21). The car is RHD and was imported from Japan by Nostalgia Imports under the 25 year rule. It is completely legal. I have it registered and insured under the original vin number. I also have copies of the car's import paperwork.
It has a 3.0L I6 turbo engine with a 4 speed automatic (I have a full 5 speed conversion (excluding transmission) from a supra that I will include). Everything drive train and suspension wise is identical to a MA70 supra, so finding parts isn't very difficult.
I've had the car a little more than two years now and it was my daily for most of that time. I've always taken care of it to the best of my ability since it was my only car. In November the car blew the head gasket, which is a common problem for the 7mgte engines. I have not driven it since then, so the rest of the engine is salvageable if you replace the head gasket. The car will start and run but it smokes so THE CAR MUST BE TOWED AWAY.
I was originally going to do a vvti 1jz swap, but recently I've been planning to move overseas so I feel it's time to let the car go. I have JZ engine swap brackets and mounts for the car which I will include. * A JZA70 swap is a direct bolt in to this chassis, wiring is also minimal *
The GT limited version of the z20 soarer is the highest trim level available next to the aerocabin soarer. It features a lot of technology that was ahead of it's time which includes:
-Electronic touchscreen climate control.
-Power adjustable seats and telescoping steering wheel.
-Holographic digital cluster.
-Premium Technics sound system.
-Power folding mirrors, dimming rear view mirror.
-Automatic Air purifier system.
-Digital tv with on board diagnostics.
-Electronically adjustable air suspension (swapped for cusco zero 1 coilovers).
^^^^ I'm Sure there's more that i'm forgetting.
The car has the following mods:
-HKS Super Dragger 3" exhaust, (muffler section removed).
-Test pipe to replace factory cat (not installed).
-Cusco Zero 1 coilovers.
-Aluminum 3 row radiator.
-HKS panel air filter.
-Brembo 4 Piston big brake kit (not installed).
The bad stuff:
- Headgasket must be replaced.
- Power steering rack seals are leaking, needs a rebuild. (can use a rebuild kit from a supra)
-Small dent in rear drivers side quarter panel, (not noticeable from more than 10 feet away).
-Tape deck doesn't work(I just use an fm transmitter to listen to music from my phone).
-Minor paint chipping by the front wheel wells because of the tires rubbing.
-Trunk carpeting was in bad shape so it was removed and trunk floor was spray painted purple (don't ask...it was a bad idea).
-Suede on the door panels is bubbling in some spots.
The car is rust free and just needs a bit of love to get it back into running shape. I'm asking $6,500 it comes with the 5 speed conversion (pedals,
drive shaft , flywheel , clutch lines , master cylinder etc..)
