Windshield Wiper Motor Harness Plug.. ????

Never really paid any attention to the type of harness plug the windshied wiper motor uses till now, (trying to sell someone an extra windshield wiper motor I have lying around).
I've noticed that on the 95 S14, the windshield wiper motor harness is a 6 pin black rectangular-shaped plug, while on a 97 S14, the windshield wiper motor harness is a 6 pin grey, oval-shaped plug....the plugs are not interchangeable. One would have to cut & rewire the harness to get the windshield wiper motor to work.
Does this apply to all S13's & S14's?? Are the windshield wiper motor wiring harnesses the same for the 89-94 or are they different? If they're different, then what model year did they change? I already know the 95 &97 plugs are different. Question is, what year did Nissan change the plug???
Yeah...I know....it's a stupid question...but I'm curious now....

S13s use the same plug as the early S14 but I can't verify with certainty that the pinout is the same. I have one each of the wiper motors laying here but no S13 FSM to verify.
