I have decided to sell my car. The intent is to use the money to better myself and go to school. Would love to sell this thing tomorrow if possible.

I was building the car with longevity in mind. The typical 555cc/S15 turbo package.
The way I built it is I used parts and components that far exceed the requirements of this setup. That way, as planned, I would be able to step up when money became available.

DISCLAIMER: NO TITLE --> But, all the painful fucking hard work has been done.
Long story short - Car sold to me, lady lied, had loan on it, about grand and a half.
I have negotiated and I just need to make one more phone call with money to purchase the car for $400 from the lien holder. They'll do what they need to do and then send the title to whatever address I want. If you purchase the car, I'll give you info you need and you can get a nice clean title. :)
Also, have car fax and whatnot..

So here it is:

1992 Nissan 240sx w/ ~220,000 miles
S13 '54c' redtop SR20DET rebuilt by some dude who tried putting it into a camaro..
Was 100% stock and running when I got it. Really needed some TLC though.
The car was also 115% stock with a ka24de factory 5-speed. I was actually able to get it running and drive it around for awhile before putting her under for the swap.

NOTE: The only cutting/alterations to the body/chassis are 4-8 holes for a few bolts, a battery tray that was grinded flush to the frame rail by the rad/core support, and a couple holes through the firewall for 1/0 welding cables for the battery relocation. I wanted to avoid cutting and hacking the car up as much as possible.

Mods list:
Engine internals are stock as far as I know (crank, rods, pistons, head, and cams)

·DIF black drift knob for handbrake
·Xxr 522 16x7, +25, two bent rims.

Not to be a dick or anything, but if you had all that money invested into it. Why not just pay the amount owed first and get the title before dumping 10k into the car with no title. Definitely interested but just seem hella fishy.

Because in PA, if you own it, it has to have insurance... I save monthly on that.. Basically pays for storage. ;)
I knew I'd catch shit for that, but that's why.

If this was last year when I bought mine I would have got it for sure at that price. Good luck with the sale. But the whole no title would not have gone great at the border though. :-/

How are the floors and rails?

Good luck with the sale.

North Carolina car. PERFECT. The whole reason I bought the car in the first place was those frame rails..

If you want this car sold for a reasonable amount of cash just pay the $400 and get the ownership.

Sounds totally legit BUT get the ownership.Like crazyCED said if a guy from Canada wants to pick this up it'll be a no go at the border.

Wow, what kind of loan was on a now 25 year old Nissan? Looks like a solid car though. GLWS.

@Nissan__crazy, it's crossed my mind obviously. Lol. It's prob what I'll end up doing I just keep not getting around to it. Like right now my daily needs tires BAD and that's $400... Lol.

Via the carfax it looks like maybe she bought it on 08/03/2004 so I'm assuming that's when the loan was. Which puts the car at 12 years old then. Makes sense to me. If I come up with the money to purchase the car and insurance I planned on asking the financing company what the purchase date was and mileage at time of purchase..

That's not true you can own a car registered in you're name in PA. It's not required to get insurance. I understand if you don't wanna go through the hassle of getting it insured because after you sell it the next owner has to insure it anyways so I understand that part. Just for $400 you can get title for it just do it and you'll have an easier time selling it. Glws thought definitely worth the price! Bump for a fellow PA member

Thanks bud.
I think I did in fact misword that.. If you PLATE the car, it HAS to have insurance. You're right, you can own it w/o insurance. But if you do not have insurance you have to turn your plate/registration in.
Yeah, I'm gong to get the title. I'm going to tint and buy new tires for the daily and then I'll get the title. Prob gonna take a couple months with how much I'm making nowadays though.. :(

Get the title I might be interested. Selling my car this weekend hopefully and will need some wheels.

Right on, I'll keep everyone updated. Things are real busy. 2/3 jobs and school. Money's starting to pick up, but school costs a lot and I'm still trying to scoop some new tires for the daily. Once school and that's taken care of I'll get the title. Just not top priority right now.

I need this gone. I just need out of the game right now.
$4,000 or best offer.
No negotiations unless you're actually looking at the car.

$3,000. Bottom dollar.
No title.
If you plan or just end up holding onto the car I'll more than likely buy it back in the future (year or less) for more than i sell it for. Lol. Just need money for school, it's ridiculous. So stressful.

Nobody is going to touch a car with out a title, way too sketch.

Absolutely blows my mind... There's still the value of the parts and whatnot.
Just kinda crazy nobody will buy the car for $3,000. If I had $3,000 on hand this is probably the most you're gonna get for $3,000. Lol.
I'm really grinding my parents to try and help with school, but they just don't have it.

at three grand there is value in parts. However no title and the way the thread is going something is definatley sketchy. Could at least get the paperwork and docs leading up to transfer of title and post those to help sale.

If its only 4 bills just take it off the selling price?

Talked to a friend, he's fronting me the cash, just got in contact with the financing company. Wheels are turning. Process of obtaining the title has begun..
Edit, just read your post. What, like carfax or something? I can probably post that, but I'm not going to post the sensitive info that could lead someone to obtaining the car for themselves... If that's what you want.. Lol.

Any rust on this thing?

Any rust on this thing?

Negative. Car was brought up from Winston Salem and/or Greensboro, NC and then sat for a long time not being driven.
It's the whole entire reason I bought the car in the first place. Price was good, but I didn't carne it was and still is completely rust free.
Where a scuff mark is there might be that like, super light surface rust stuff. Like what gets on steel plates when they sit a little while. Other than that it's clean.

To anyone who was interested in this.
I have bought the title from Whitestone Financial in North Carolina. The title has been sent to them and Whitestone will be sending it to me signed over in my name.
At this point I have sold the car locally to a guy I work with for $3,400 (he paid for the title) and he has already paid $1,400.
I am going to obtain a PA title in my name as soon as Whitestone sends me the original. And then it will be signed over to the guy buying the car.
Thank you to those that showed interest. Sucks I had to sell the car, but now I can finish school! :)
