well i was in school today, and went to see the veterans affairs guy about getting my montgomery gi bill from the army (i was in for 2 years, m1a1 tank gunner, fort hood tx)
ne ways, i thought that the army just paid you back for what you paid for school....
helllll noooo, they are paying me back 23,400 over the course of 3 years now it may not seem to be alot, but added to my 40hrs a week @ $14 an hour is gonna give me a shitload of spending money, casue i have no rent pay, bought the 240 cash, only have a 50 dollar cell phone bill and a 215 a month insurance rate.  needless to say i am very happy
lets see 6,000 for my completed sr blacktop setup w/fmic and other goodies should do just fine....lookout brian <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>
6000 divided by 650, that what like?? SOON, next winter maybe.

well im at a community college now which is 475 a semester for 12 credits...the after 2 yrs to GMU and instate tuition is only 1896 a semester...that 11,376, so ill have alot left over to spend, around 7-8 thousand <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

Hahaha, i just did the same thing, i've just got out the Marine Corp. I was a 0311 ...straight up grunt, but i did that MGIB boost. So instead of getting twenty sumthing thousand for college i'll be getting around 32k for school. SR here i come hahaha....

hey what unit were you from?
i just got out in aug. i was in 1/7th(i was a tanker too)
your unit had m1a1's
all ive seen at ft hood was m1a2's we also tested the m1a2sep's but they gave them to the inf. div not 1st cav
im using my gi bill/college money it takes about 2 to 3 months after you start going to school before you get your 1st check.
my gi bill/college fund was for 33grand so i &nbsp;i get about 1200 a month but i have to go full time which is 13creadit hours per semester

actually we got the new m1a1 seps,didnt have the trash can tc sights, but had all the computer bs......i was in 4ID so we didnt have the a2, my ets was aug 26 but i had 45 day terminal leave <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>


btw full time is 12 credit hours, and the most you can get a month is 800 bucks for mgib

im going to ctc right now and i cut through ft hood on the way to school i always have a huge smile on my face when i see units in the field and laugh that im not out their anymore
