I'm currently in the midst of building a 1jz s13 with the power goal of ~450-500whp on 93 octane. I haven't yet decided on what turbo I'm going to use, which is why I'm here... It has 264 duration HKS cams, 4 inch exhaust, intercooler (obv), wideband, AEM EMS, 720cc top feed injectors, 340LPH Aeromotive fuel pump etc. What turbo should I use to reach my power goal? (T4 flange, single scroll, 44mm TiAL wastegate)
Thanks

you could use something like a pte5858, or the gt35r. both of those would get you pretty quick spool and should be able to reach your power goal.

That would be too much. Stay below a 60mm compressor wheel for your goals. You already have cams so a PT 5858 or equivalent is what you want.

One last question, I haven't finalized on what EMS to go with, I want to maintain reliability and drivability, but don't want to compromise on tunability. What should I go with?

AEM if you are experienced with it
Megasquirt if you are experienced with it
both are good, if you know how to use them :D
What I really like about the AEM is all the bells and whistles. Like the afterstart IACV control (make it start and idle down like a new vette engine) and the pre-kick up for the A/C compressor (running a lightweight flywheel? No problem with engine RPM drop) it really lets you trick the engine out, and plenty of options for adding external controlling features, like nitrous and fan switching etc.. I can praise that system all day long.

Does the AEM have any support for the Haltech IQ3 Racepak dashboard?

^ im sure it does, first ask all these questions to your tuner or potential tuner. Check out what hes comfortable with.
