I'm looking at a set of 16" Primax 687 wheels, 3 spoke. I love the 3 spoke look on an S13 240SX, its the only car they look good on (imho).

If they really, REALLY suck, what other 3 spoke wheels are there out there that don't suck? {edit} and don't cost a ridiculous amount of cash...

Ditto on the Advan.....get the Black with red lip.....GT2 style. Oh yeah, save your pennies also...they are a bit more than Primucks.

The thing is, guys/gals, I don't have billions of dollars to spend on wheels. Advans are a bit out of my price range, I'm a poor highschool student.

Primax aren't great but also don't be fooled. They aren't horrible. If your buying them for looks than all they have to do is look good to you. If you are buying them for performance though......Advans all the way. I have Primax wheels 4 mine and I'll be selling them as soon as I find a wheel that is light and looks god, but for now they are fine.

If you're gonna get a wheel just for looks, get dubs...the point of a racing wheel is to be light, strong, and of course it helps to look good at the same time. If you have steel wheels or something, get the 16" S14 alloys while you save up. Don't waste money on bullshit just because you don't have the money at the time - 700 bucks spent on primax is 700 bucks that could go toward a quality wheel (that doesn't have to be Advan - Advans are expensive as shit).

20 inch wheels would look retarded on a 240. I'm sorry, but it's the truth. I wouldn't even get stock alloys while you're waiting, it would just be a waste of cash.

just so you all know, theprimax wheels I got are usually $1100. I got them with new tires for 350. If I can just roll on them until I get some more important mods done and then sell them for 350 I will have made out great!!

I say if you want the wheels for the look, just go ahead and get them. Primax wheels aren't known to be light, but they're not heavy either, especially at 16". You wouldn't notice the difference.
I mean I want people to look at my car and say, that looks cool. Instead of saying, ooooh, you have x brand of wheel. The whole wheel industry is getting retarded. It's like the fashion industry or something.

Ones wheels is a matter or personal taste. Definately it is part of expressing who you are through your car. I mean I want my 240 to be an extension of who I am and what I like, That is why I want it to look cool with the right body kit, right color of paint and definately the right wheels. I myself would love a set of Racing Heart C5's but seeing they are out of production it will be hard to find them and when you do very costly. A shop I went to in my area said about 3,000 complete for the multipiece design and tires and installed. So you are talking a serious amount of cash... Also being in new england I will look at a good set of wheels first for looks that I can go fall-winter on and then get the real summer stuff later.

hehe the dubs thing was a joke. I was saying that the point (in my mind of course) of getting wheels is for looks AND performance...as in if you're gonna get a wheel for looks, get a lowrider and put on some dubs. Yeah...was in a bad mood that day...sarcasm...
isnt 3 spoke out in the 80s?

I like some 3 spokes... too bad the ones I like are all 4-500 a piece, but the 240 is one of the only cars that looks good with them, and only the coupes, I don't like the look on the hb's... damn I wish I had the money for some advans or volks wheels... maybe even some 5zigen hiedfelds... but I am sooo poor right now... dammit.
