finally got some time to fiddle with it and got it adjusted the best i could so i could back it off the trailer.

after talking to him for a while i managed to get my s14 lca's back from him and i went ahead and ordered some new isis or isr tie rods.

plan on putting those on whenever enjuku decides to ship them.


after that its popping the over fenders off seeing whats behind them and off to paint.

as soon as i get some more work done i will add some more pics.

Sorry it been so long since i posted an update but ive been really busy with some family stuff.

but on to the good stuff.

The car has been so much fun to learn to drift with. She got a few goodies in the time ive been away.

Talking to local guy that is a member here and ended up picking up this set of PBM Coilovers. Absolutly love them!

So i went out to my first two events and holy crap i had a blast. Definitely a big learning curve from the just go fast in a straight line phase i was in. Well while out at the second event a buddy of mine came up to me and asked if anyone wanted a chassis. So i started asking him about it and got all the details.

Well say hello to my new chassis lol 93 Coupe slicktop. He had blew the ka in it and was wanting to get into a s14 chassis so i took the opportunity to expand and start on a new chassis that didn't have as much love on the body.

Since i got the chassis home ive been going over it and thinking about what i wanna do. Being that im still in the beginning stages of drifting i wasn't sure if i really wanted to do a swap or just hang on to the chassis for a while till im ready for more. Well sitting and talking to some close friends i decided to drive a drift the white coupe and build a new chassis that is better set up for drifting.

So i sat and started thinking what should i do. Got a bunch of opinions from alot of my 240 buddies and finally decided on the most reasonable swap for my skill level. You guessed it Sr lol

So the next day i sat and started ordering parts...

Thankfully i ordered a new water pump because when i took the old one off this is what i found :/

So my car was down for one of the past events so i helped a buddy get his car to the event. I told him i didn't want payment id rather help a buddy get to the event and have fun that charge someone for hauling a car. In thanks he gave me this pretty sweet Driftwood Steering wheel

So now we are at present time and i just went to a event last weekend. Had a blast and it was a fast and fun course. My dad snapped a few pics in the unloading process.

Managed to get out and work on the car alittle yesterday but ive been fighting weather in south louisiana like you wouldn't believe.

I did manage to get out in the backyard and get the inside painted, but thats about all i could do being my yard has 2 inches of water standing in it and i need my dads truck to lift the motor in.

Okay so i managed to get some more work done to the car over the past few days.

For starters i managed to get the motor set it thanks to a member on here that so happens to be my cousin.

Motor went in around 8 Friday night and Saturday we started hooking everything up.

I talked to a friend of mine that goes out to the local events and i brought him my front LCA's and Knuckles to get work done. Hes extending the LCA's and i cant remember by how much. Also he is modifying the knuckle to allow more steering angle.

Well while in the mist of taking my LCA's off i turned the wheel to get the tie rod out of the way and i heard a squirting sound so when i investigated i found that my steering rack hard lines where bent and torn to hell. So i took em to work to see if i can match the hose fittings but no luck. Its nice to work at a Hose and fitting place but sucks when we dont deal with automotive applications :(.

So i ended up ordering the ISR replacement hoses and installing those.

I started working on suspension next. Got all my adjustable arms off the white coupe and put em on the red coupe. Swapped my coils over and also threw on the ISR 5 lug hubs i bought. Also threw on some Voodoo13 tension arms.

Threw the rear rims on just for shits and giggles and found out that holy crap im gonna need spacers. So off to the interwebs i went lol

While waiting for parts to come in i decided to make a aluminum radio bezel for my switch board. I think it came out alright for someone that has zero metal working skills.

I swapped my S14 seats over from the white car but i never took a pic last night. I got home late and when i finished the mosquitoes where carrying me off.

All in all the car is coming along smoothly with the little time i have to work on it. I should have it running within a week or so.

So just a quick update on the car.

I've been fighting it for the past week with two main issues.

First issue was my alt fuse or main fusable link popped the second i put power threw the harness. Couldn't figure that one out easily. I ended up finding that my chassis harness was grounding out somewhere so started pulling it apart trying to locate the problem. Found the main wire that was grounding out and followed it. Cut it in 3 different spots and checked it with the muli meter and that lead me all the way into the cab. Come to find out my dome light of all things was grounding out and that was my culprit. So that was one issue fixed.

Second issue was once i got the harness soldered back together the motor would spin over and that was it. So i started diagnosing that problem. I was getting fuel to fuel rail, no spark, and injectors wasn't spitting. So i made my rounds checking everything. CAS was getting power and sending a signal. Injectors had power. Coilpacks read 1 ohm so they was still good and they had 12v on the backside of them. Injectors was getting 12v. I did the long continuity test on the ignitor chip and it was reading right. So i pulled the cover and the CAS and checked timing. It was alittle off so i reset all that to top dead center and still nothing. She spun over but would never pop off or cough even. So i got alittle pissed and called a buddy that runs the local drift events here and thankfully he had a spare ecu laying around. I drove and hour to him and picked that up last night and threw it in the car. Botta boom botta bing she fired up without any hesitation. So i sat and ordered a "new" ecu last night and hopefully im not getting screwed over and its still good.

Thats all i got as of right now. Got a few things on the list left to do but most are waiting for other parts to come back from the fabricator. Dont think ima make the November event being i have to break the clutch in but i'm shooting for the December event to have the car sliding around the skid pad.

Hello from TX....great start....

So i finally got around to getting the car finished. Unfortunately i didn't get it done in time for the drift event yesterday but i am ready for the December event. All i need to do is get an alignment and get some miles on the clutch.

Got my arms back from the fabricator and actually had a fun ass day hanging out in the garage. LCA's are extended 35mm over stock and the Knuckles are shaved and tig welded. Ill get some more pictures of those when i get home today and post them up.

Its no WiseFab but its all i need for this car. To much angle will kill you if you don't make the power to compensate for it.

After i got all my suspension and steering bolted back up i decided to tackle my head lights. The housings where all busted up and beyond fixing so i sat and weighed out my options on should i got back factory or do the cliche way and go led bars.......i went led bars. I was able to pick up a set for around 30 bucks and i made the brackets out of some aluminum i had at the house.

Got all that done and tightened up and the next day i dropped her on her own 4 feet.

Now the problems started. All excited i jumped in the car to go on the first test drive and i noticed my clutch pedal sank to the floor faster than a fat kid on a seesaw. So i hopped out and started digging. Found the master cylinder reservoir dryer than the Sahara desert. Something didn't add up because i know i filled it and primed the clutch before i ever set it back on the ground. Well i crawl under the dash and start pumping the pedal to see if i could get it to prime again and i hit a puddle of fluid. Great the M.C. is bad. So i ran to the parts store and picked up another. Threw it on and boom got pressure back. So once again i jumped back in the car and now it wont go in gear. I sat and played with it for a while and realized the clutch wasn't releasing all the way. So back to the parts store i went for a new slave cylinder. Got all the fixed and primed back up and the drive actually happened. God she needs an alignment but she drove amazing and not a single problem. Love it when things work out!

Id say the slave saw better days.

When i got back i looked over the car really good checking things and i layed down and relized that my downpipe was stupid low to the ground. The car isn't that low so i was pretty upset. So i sat and did some research and found out that not only does the ISR downpipe hang really low me adding the flexpipe in that area didn't help. Also i think my turbo elbow has something to do with it. Oh well i did some research on downpipes and ended up picking up the PBM Cobra downpipe. That should be coming in soon and then its nothing but boost weather and windows down!

Update a picture dump.

Finally got her in driving shape. Had to take some time and get some stuff done around the house and with Thanksgiving holiday i didn't have much time to work on it. I made my mind up that i was going to get out last weekend and bust ass and get it all lined out. Well i did :). Did a quick back yard alignment and got her driving. Spent some time after that getting her legal.

Btw i will 100% recommend PPG Cars (Pellegrini Performance Group) if your in the south louisiana area. By far the nicest shop i have ever been in and some of the nicest people i had the pleasure of hanging out with while my car was getting worked on.

On the rack. The alignment was so bad on the car that if i would have attempted to drift it theres no telling what may have happened. I did the best i could in my yard but im no alignment expert.

alignment specs are.
Front Left and front right= -4.6 degree camber, 6.5 degree of caster, 0 degree toe
Back= -.1 degree camber, 1/32 inch toe in.

After the event in a week i plan on taking the car over to a buddys house that does paint and body for a living and making her alittle prettier. Im wanting to run a silvia hood on a type x bumper. I personally think it looks badass. Let me know yalls opinion.

Its been a while since i posted but not much has changed with the car. Its still performing great with very slight issues.

Here are some current pictures of the car.

Went to a night event and found out that my single row led bars just wasnt bright enough. Gave my cousin a good heart check when i yelled out "Where'd the track go!" So i upgraded from a 7" wide single row to a 9" wide dual row. Made night driving alot easier.

I managed to get my hands on a 1 piece aluminum driveshaft from a trade i did to get my dad a car. I decided to throw it on the car.

I did have one issue that was bugging me more than anything. For some reason i couldn't get the car to shift into second under a heavy load. No matter how patient i was on the shift it just grinded and refused to go untill i let the rpms drop. So i swapped a megan short shift in and it solved my problem.

After the December event i realized that the 205 rear tires just wasnt giving me enough grip, so i decided to upgrade and go alittle wider. Picked up some 17X9 +35 battles. Running a 225/45/17 at 28psi. Provided plenty of grip at the last event.

Since i started drifting last season my dad has been my biggest supporter and fan. He came up to me one day and asked if i could help him find a 240 so he could come out and drift with me. Proud son moment and eager to spend as much time with my dad as possible i immediately hit the inter-webs looking for a chassis. While talking to a high school buddy of mine he kept saying he wished he could get into a running car. He had purchased a 89 coupe from my cousin but it needed a lot of attention. So i offered a trade, my old white coupe (previously pictured) for his coupe. Well he agreed and i went and picked it up for my dad. 89 coupe with a redtop sr. Have a lot of work to do on it but i couldn't ask for a better bonding opportunity with my dad.

We had an event 2 weekends back and got a few pictures from it. Loved the lay out and felt comfortable diving in on the last outer clip close to the gaurd rail.

Just a quick update.

Not much has been done to the car lately other than routine maintenance. Did manage to get this clip taken of me at the last event out at NOLA Motorsports.
