Hello, I'm in the process of installing a Tomei short shifter into my S14 and have a couple of questions. I've searched but couldn't find these specific points. I used the nylon bushing from the stock shifter (just replaced it 2-3 months ago) and noticed it doesn't move as freely as it did on the stock shifter. there was lube on the OEM shifter, so is it required to put some grease between that bushing and point at which it attaches to the Tomei shifter? My second question deals with the two retaining clips/rings. From what I can tell, it seems that the eye clip holds the shift lever in place and then there is a C-ring that holds the bush-socket in place, At least that's how I think it works. My question is: is that the order that the clips go? IOW, does the eye clip (snap-ring) fit in a groove above the C-ring?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
