z32
What makes the 300zx more of a z than a 180? I guess its probably just the fact that the z31 kinda looks like a datsun and it carried through to the z32?
i was just wondering if anyone else feels sad that their car isn't a z car
I really want that big ol z on my steering wheel and floormats

I think it has more to do with the chassie then the rear glass. If the 180sx was a Z the silvia would have to be as well.

i've always thought it was b/c z's had 6 cylinders, and we had 4 cylinders. (don't flame me for this...) kinda like a chevy vette (z) and a camaro (240)

yeah... the Zs have always been 6 cylinders...

hahahhaha...maybe the silvia would be called zilvia if it was a z car

That seems like the most reasonable explaination to me.

the Z was meant to compete with the corvette, and was designed to have a low buck daily driver/racer. and it eventually got to the z32 in 89 (japan, people, japan) and was still competitive with the corvette when it came here....except costed $40,000+. that's where the s13 came in, for broke ass fools like us (broke ass fools in japan included). that's my theory. if a 180 was supposed to be like a Z, i wouldn't spend $40,000+ on a 175hp CA

Kind of like saying. . . Why isn't a Camaro a Corvette? They're both fastback. .

it's simple.....the Z is nissan's premier sports car, and the performance of the 240 isn't up to par of a Z
