jz with transmission adapters

I'm planning on a 1jz into my s14 and I was wondering if anyone out there has ever used one of the many adapter plates that are out there. I've seen adapters for pretty much every transmission out there and lots of talk about them but haven't seen someone who's used one. So help me out here I need some input.
