One of my favorite colors on the S14 Kouki. Good luck with the sale, man. Seems reasonably priced.
I love seeing the S14 Koukis retaining their value and hope they rise even more in the future, since so many are in shit condition or have been totaled.
I wish I could have your OEM seats though :/

Not one to butt into a thread but you do realize salvage in most places means repairs equalling 70+% of the car value. I work for insurance and hate to break it to you but based on their value of our kouki a the most you would get (insurance perspective) for a<150k mile kouki is like $3000. You damage the hood, front bumper, lights, and a fender and you pretty much have a totaled car.
So as long as the car doesn't have major structural damage the salvage title doesn't mean much.

I spent 8k on a silvermoss, hardtop w/94k miles and clean title. But mine came automatic. His is factory 5 speed which makes it a little more rare. Despite it having a rebuilt title it's a silvermoss kouki and 7k is for people who appreciate the car. If you want to spend 5k on a bust to shit one go ahead. To me this is much more reasonable than the s13's I saw on here for 11k, with stock sr20.

Problem with salvage title is you need to do inspection if registering out of state. My aunt purchased a salvage car out of state once and couldn't get it registered because it failed inspection in her state for some ridiculous reason. She ended up losing a lot of money because she had to sell the car for dirt cheap.

ITS NOT A SALVAGE TITLE
ITS A REBUILT TITLE
which is what you get after doing exactly that

my friend there is a big different between the word salvage title and rebuilt title...this is happens when your aunt get herself into this.. In most states you cant even do nothing with the car expect for parts to be sale...in rebuilt title most states allow but this indicates the car has somehow has been burn, flood, accident, stolen, etc. Causing the insurance to repair no more than 70% of the value of the car..7k is alot not going to lie and rare or rare color has nothing to do with it when it come to rebuilt title unless it clean! Glws and hope the buyers know what they getting themself into...

Good luck with the sale.
Honestly, I rather see a rebuilt title than a clean one when buying older cars.
Hear me out.
Alot of people boast about having a 'clean' title and that sometimes gives you a false sense of security. Some people 'slack off' a little when they hear 'clean title' even though they know that you should ALWAYS look over everything on the car. But from what I have seen in the past is that most of the time, the car was wrecked, but they fixed it themselves. The result, 'clean' title.
When you see rebuilt, you tend to look over EVERYTHING on the car with more caution and sometimes you do get good cars that were rebuilt properly.
So I never jump for joy when I see a clean title and I don't run away from a rebuilt one.

This whole rebuilt title/salvage title shit is so irrelevant to me. Like someone said earlier in this thread, given the fact that insurance values these cars so little, a minor fender bender can cause your car to become a salvage title. But does that really mean anything?
So what if my Kouki's fender and hood were damaged? When it comes to buying a Kouki, which is such a rare car to come across, especially clean ones, is a history of a fender bender REALLY that important? Personally, it's not that important to me given the fact that there's a lot more important shit to consider when buying a Kouki.
Secondly, just because a car is a clean title doesn't mean that it couldn't have been in the same kind of fender bender. The previous owner could have simply bought a $150 fender and a $200 hood, and put it back together without reporting insurance.
Lastly, for those of you who have had issues with insurance companies undervaluing your 240, DO NOT settle for less. When my old Zenki was vandalized, insurance totaled the car as they said the price to paint the car ($3,500) is more than 70% of what the car is worth. So they totaled it and were going to cut me a $4k check for the car. I hit them up and told them that is NOT what the current market value of the car is and I will not settle for a $4k check. We went back and forth, and they eventually had an independent company come check out the car, who ended up valuing the car for $8500.
I also have a buddy who was in a similar situation, had an S14.5. He had been rear ended and they were going to total the car. He threatened to report them to the Federal something commission (I don't remember exactly lol). They ended up re-appraising his car at around $14k and he got a $6k paint-job.
Good luck with sale, OP. And sorry for the long post.

no, thank you for taking the time to explain to those that didn't or still don't understand how that works. What you stated is what I roughly said to another troll on a FB forsale thread for the car.
car is SOLD thread can be closed.
thanks for the selling space, local buddy bought it.
