Interested in 14in akebonos setup of a nismo 370? Front and rear they are adaptable to s chassis and conplete. I didn't realize I can't run 17s with them

Not really - the Akebono kits require 18 inch wheels and funky offsets.

These use normal offsets - 17x9 +30 (stock R33 GTR wheel size) for example.

I've been getting q's about these calipers and how they fit, as well as consumables. Here's a summary:

I recommend rebuilding ANY caliper you get from Japan. At this point, they are 20 years old and replacing the seals is a good idea. The good news is they use the exact same seal kit as the 350Z brembo caliper. The R33 GTR, R34 GTR & Z33 Track all use the same Brembo brake calipers. The up side of the R33 Brembo's is that they have the same size bolt holes as the Z32 & the S13/S14 cars. They literally bolt on. For Z33 or R34 calipers, you have to drill out the mounting tabs on the upright to fit a larger size bolt.

Re Consumables:

http://www.bestbrakes.com/ has a full listing (select 1996 Nissan Skyline GTR) of pads and rotors, a full car set of DBA 4000 (high end rotors) is ~600. For pads, you use the same as the Z33 Track.

The rotors are a larger than the stock Z32 as well. These are easily obtainable from DBA.

I personally run a set of the R33 brembo front calipers on my S14, and run the Brembo GT kit on the front of my Z32, with the R33 brembo's on the rear.
