Here are the symptoms im having and i am wondering if theyre related in any way...
Cylinder 4 misfire (constant)
switched injectors and coils, misfire stays at cyl #4
have not checked compression yet, hoping to get a tester tonight just to check but i highly doubt this is the issue.
Tachometer not working
Car will start and run, does not shut off when turning key off ive been having to pull the fuel pump relay to shut it off
many people say it could be a ground issue but id really like it if anyone could narrow that down if at alllll possible. Could absolutely be a ground issue but to my knowledge every ground is secure and connections cleaned.. therefore needing pointers on where to look as im assuming some grounds are completely irrelevant to these symptoms and there have got to be areas that need more focus on. also for the record i had the valve cover off plenty of times and did not notice any debri or DESTROYED rockers on this number four cylinder so for fun games i can check that again.. Right now im thinking its either ecu/ignitor chip or combo of both. i dont know anyone in a 2 hour driving radius with a known good ecu and chip to swap out so also if anyone knows anyone in rochester ny area who has those id like to know.
