Sunroof broke awhile back but I just picked up a new assembly. The parts that broke on my assembly were the sunroof lid brackets.

Wondering if anyone has replaced the whole assembly, how hard was it, time it took and if they've any tips? I know I'm gonna have to take out the headliner and all that junk, just seeing if there was a easier way to do it.

I just went through the whole process on my S13 coupe with the power sunroof. It's involved just because there are a lot of parts that have to be removed. And yes that headliner has to come out. I imagine the S14 is not much different. Also the assembly is very awkward and has some weight to it (34lbs for mine) so I would recommend having a helper with you for the actual removal and installation of the core assembly. All in all it's not that hard. Just give yourself an afternoon and you should do just fine.

Thanks! A friend and I are gonna try and get it done Saturday around noon. Hopefully it only take a hour or 2.
