I recently purchased my 95 240. Whenever I manually lock the doors with the keys my factory alarm system will go off periodically for no reason. It has done this 3 times. The previous owner had lost the keyless entry remote.
So my question is their a way to fix this problem or possibly disconnect the alarm system?
Thanks

Thats because you can arm the system using the keys in the door...I found this out the hard way....if the system goes off...just put your key in the door and either turn it to the right or left...I am pretty sure right...it should disarm...

Yes, I know to use the key to disarm the system. But the last two times I've locked the doors my alarm has gone off in the middle of the night...So I have to leave the car unlocked. So if anybody has any info on how I could at least lock the doors without worring about the alarm going off let me know...

Ground the disarm trigger to the alarm and you'll never have to worry about it.
There's several ways to do it, the wire is green/yellow IIRC, you can find it at the alarm module, under the dash above the hood release, or in either door coming off the key switch. Ground it to the chassis. I'll verify the color later on tonight when the FSM is handy.

And check the hood sensor...I had a friend with a similar problem, and it was the hood sensor...the hood was not shutting enough to push the sensor all the way down, and it caused random alarm warnings.
Check that...it's on the passenger side of the engine bay.

Check the fuse boxes underneath the hood & driver side kick panel. There should be a 7.5 amp fuse that provides power to the alarm system. Pull that & the alarm system should no longer work.
Hope this helps...
