how much diferance is ther in the hp in the two??

The '89 and '90 240s used a 12 valve SOHC engine. 140 hp w/ 138¿? ft/lbs torque. 91 and on use a 16 valve DOHC engine, 155 hp w/ 160 ft/lbs torque.

Well the '91 has the dopest cams - factory. Great benefit.

The '95 to '98 models (S14) have a stronger chassis but softer shocks from the factory. They also have stronger pistons that can handle a little more boost than a stock S13 motor.

see i like the s13 better it is a little smaller how much does the s14 weigh???
the s13 is 2700lbs (i think?)

I don't know about you guys but I see alot of s13s around here, but very few s14's. &nbsp;I love the S13, but I wouldn't trade my s14 for one!

uhh... the s14 weighs about 3700lbs.... &nbsp;the s13 could only be a few hundred less (maybe)

It might have been a typo. &nbsp;The s14 weighs 2730ish.. and the SE weighs 2780 ish.
Dunno about the s13. &nbsp;I heard it is about 100 pounds lighter. &nbsp;

I don't want be the odd thumb out, but I have an old issue of road and track with the original specs on the 91 se. &nbsp;3100lbs. &nbsp;More then you thought. &nbsp;

And the s14 are around 2800lbs. &nbsp;I think I still have the issue. &nbsp;If I do I'll scan that baby for all to see.

Road and Track sucks.
But anyway... it must have been a full car... with all fluids, packed with people, and all their luggage.
Seriously... the s13 is about 100 pounds lighter. &nbsp;And the s14 doesn't hit 2800.

S14's are rated at the same hp as S13's (except '89-90 SOHC models).
As for the looks, the S14b looks good...but I don't like the S14a headlights. But the S13 is a beautiful car in it's own right also.:)
