Quick question for those who can help.

I am trying to remove the inner cv joint (final drive side) from the axle inorder to replace a torn boot. My understanding is that the end cap / plug seal needs to be removed first in order to reach the snap ring.

I have been hitting it with a hammer like it shows here with no success:

Any tips on how to remove the plug seal ?

Nice! Now don't trash it like I did mine lol! I had to seal the diff output against the axle or buy a new axle
