Do I have to have a Wastegate Valve control solenoid valve? My guess is that this tells the wastegate when to open.
And also the boost pressure sensor.
I don't believe that these two pieces were on my motor, and I think they might both be chassis mounted parts and that's why I didn't get them.

if you have them they pry would have came on the bracket with your igniter chip, the wastegate gets its signal from a nipple on the intercooler pipe, the solenoid valve that i think you are talking about is a little green deal with a black turn knob on it with a couple vacuum lines on it, its supposed to function as some sort of boost controller, but i've heard you will boost faster with out it and i dont think it boost anyfarther then factory boost of 7 or so anyway, which is what the nipple on the piping will allow. and the boost pressure sensor would not be needed either...that is if it is what i think you are talking about, but i am pretty sure...good luck.

I'm thinking a boost con should over-ride both of these correct? So if I get one I'm safe right?

well ya, but ur safe with out it. you will just run stock boost which is between 7-10, you dont need to run out and buy a boost controller though if you dont have the funds. just run a vacuum line from a nipple on your intercooler piping to the nipple on the wastegate.
