Year - 1990
Chassis - BNR32 Skyline GT-R
Miles - 52,465km/32,600Miles
Motor - R33 GTR/260RS RB26DETT
Price - 28,500.00 USD

Let me preface this with the fact that I don't really want to sell this thing but I'm going to be making a couple moves around the country next year to make a career shift. Freeing up the capital along with not having as much baggage to drag around would be nice but not a requirement.

I purchased the car a couple of months ago with a knocking RB26, this essentially left me with a rolling BNR32 chassis. I went looking for a nice RB26 motorset but it seemed like there were only really beat down early model R32 units at the importers. I ended up coming across a very clean 260RS Stagea motorset which I ended up purchasing for quite the premium, I figured if I was putting in the effort to drop in a new motor I was going to be doing so with one that already had the crank issues sorted. Also I was hoping since it was in a limited edition model that it would be less abused than say a GTR motorset. The 260RS RB26 is the same as a R33 GTR motorset in every way, these cars were produced by Autech. The motor was torn down to a longblock and all the normal ware items were replaced, brand new OEM gaskets were purchased from Fontana Nissan along with upgraded Tomei Metal gaskets for the intake and turbo manifolds. Water pump, thermostat, timing belt and tensioners were also replaced when the motor was out. Every single gasket with the exception of the oil pump housing as I didn't bother to remove it as it wasnt leaking. I also picked up a Autobahn88 silcone hose kit which replaces all of the old cracked air and coolant lines under the intake manifold and heater core lines. Radiator hoses were also replaced with brand new Samco units. Under the valve covers the motor is VERY clean, no burnt on or crusted oil and compression is 160psi across the board when hot.

Turbo's were picked up off YJA though Streeter and are very low KM HKS GT-SS units with HKS actuators along with some HKS divided O2 housings for better boost control. All of the turbo gaskets, crush washers and return lines have been replaced with new items along with all vacuum lines on the motor. HKS intercooler piping along with HKS AFM deletes and M's intake finish off the intake/charge piping side of things and a equal length Trust downpipe, HKS highflow cat and HKS HiPower exhaust provide breathing for the GT-SS Turbo chargers. Nismo 600cc injectors, new Nissan fuel filter and a FPVR delete provides fuel to the motor. The OEM clutch was replaced with a Nismo Coppermix Twin with full face organic disks along with a Nismo pivot ball. Brand new flywheel bolts were purchased as well to ensure they never back out as OEM units are torque to yield and will stretch after use. Motor has only received Brad Penn 10W-30, transmission, transfer case and front diff all have Redline fulids. Engine is controlled by a Haltech Platinum Pro ECU that was tuned by ILL Garage out in addision IL, car put down just over 380whp at 17psi with a cat and old plugs(my goof on that one) Car pulls like a freight train and makes power all the way to 8,000rpm when we shut it down.

Interior is pretty basic with only a BNCR33 drivers seat as it provides a lower seating position and a little better bolstering for the driver over the stock BNR32 seats. Exterior is in pretty good shape and has been repainted at some point when it was in japan, it was repainted 350z WV2 silverstone. Paint has a couple rock chips but other than that it is in fantastic shape. Chassis has ZERO rust and is in great shape, no crash damage or other damage.

Many of these items were purchased new either from Fontana Nissan or RHD Japan, I have invoices from everything from the 1,500.00 clutch to the 4,500.00 I paid for the motorset. Please keep in mind that people are paying this much for bone stock GT-Rs, you have the chance to pick one up that has had everything gone though and has a TON of brand new quality parts. I have copies of the filed HS-7, customs and import documents along with copies of the shipping paperwork. Car has a valid IL state title in my possession.

If you're interested in the car please PM me with your phone number and we can discuss the car, I have a ton of pictures of the car for any interested parties. I really don't care to appease the tirekickers and window shoppers thus I'm not gonna be posting a ton of pictures in this thread.

I knew I was gonna have a couple people scratching their heads at the price so I'll address that, don't take it personally, you were just the first one to bring it up. I know you're one of the few locals that don't have their head up their ass.

There are a couple things to consider when looking at the price, the biggest one is that the car has been gone over in its entirety. When buying other stock GTRs for 18-23k, you're getting a 25 year old motor with known issues such as the crank collar issue, 25 year old dry rotted coolant and air hoses, tired suspension and most of the time rust. Why spend all that money on a chassis that you have to spend even more cash to bring it to a state that is reliable?

The car has all new coolant and air lines, brand new clutch, full gasket kit from nissan, upgraded manifold gaskets from Tomei, like new HKS turbo's, brand new EMS and injectors and other than the rear diff every single fluid has been changed including the brake fluid. Not to mention one of the newest RB26 motors you can get your hands on. While I understand that I can't expect the time that I put into the car but it does hold some value to buyers who are looking for a trouble free car.

With that said, I'm probably going to be pulling off the turbos, injectors and EMS, replacing with stock units and bringing the car down into the low 20s if anyone is interested.

I would rather spend 28k on a bone stock gtr then a built one. It is a beatific car.

I might be interested in some of your parts such as the coilovers and brakes and maybe even the turbos. For what it's worth, I think this is priced appropriately for a very clean GTR that has quality parts and is refreshed. I don't think people realize how capable these cars are and at 28k, this is worth the price, especially considering the low miles.

I know, it's hard for someone to dump 28.5k on a 25(turning 26!) year old nissan. This weekend I'm gonna swap injectors and EMS back to stock and bring down the price a couple grand.

super awesome car

Depends on the trade, I could use a decent daily and get rid of my MK6 R. Would be especially interested in something such as a A3 TDI, CX5 or even a newer Fit.

Ohhh, so close with the race card.

Here's the deal kid, it's not about being lazy. If I was lazy I wouldn't have been so through with my description of the car, nor would I have a history of providing very good pictures in all of my for sale threads. (Example (http://zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=616959)) The market for cars like these are very niche, a buyer knows what they are looking for and when spending this kind of money on a 25 year old car there will be some dialogue even before the committal to purchase. I'm not worried about posting a single picture in my forsale thread on a forum, I have plenty of pictures to share with any seriously interested parties. To be honest if I end up keeping it I don't want a bunch of pictures of it plastered all over the internet. So, will I post a bunch of pictures just to please people like you who don't have intentions or the means to buy? No, I'm not. Bitch and moan all you want about the price or how you think I don't take care of my cars, I have plenty of people to say otherwise.

Ok this will be my last comment because I can sense your blood pressure is reaching a unsafe level.

You should not imply that I do not have the means to buy that car when you know nothing about me. The truth is I do have the means to purchase the car but I am wise enough to see that I can get much more for 30 thousand not buying a car that has a artificially over inflated price tag. It just makes no sense to pay skyline premiums when they are now legal and readily available and on top of that there are many options out there that provide better performance for less money. And don't even get me started on parts availability.

Because it wasn't my car that he saw, there have been a couple R chassis cars around Chicago over the years but this wasn't one of them. Car was exported back in April of this year from Japan and has a March build date.

I think the price is right where it needs to be. There isn't a lot of people that can grasp the fact that these cars cost ALOT of money to maintain and build. They think I'm joking when I tell them I spent the better part of 50k on my car that's worth( in my hopeful mind) 30k.

No, unless the car was brought into the country under the show and display exemption OR as a track car(which has to be exported after 3 years) it's not in the country legally and cannot be registered legally.

Only ways to get a grey market import into the country are:

- 25 year exemption
- Show and display exemption
- Track car only - prove that it cannot be driven on the street BEFORE importation
- VCP32 - 96-98 R33 Skylines only

Obviously paperwork has to be filed before the car is imported and deemed applicable for the proper exemption.

Thanks! I feel the same way, people have no idea what it costs to mod and maintain these cars after 25 plus years. While it's not as bad as the 2JZ/Supra tax, quality RB26/BNR32 parts do come at quite the premium.

Thanks for the kind words guys! Car is still for sale but I really haven't been pushing it at all, the GTR is in storage and won't be showing it as long as there's snow on the ground.

Can buy them all certified from japan partner with zero issues gone over with a fine tooth comb and for 15k shipped 2 your door. I have 2 and 28k is ridiculous amount buddy. I lived in japan for 3 years. Had them shipped when I got out the corps. Each of them has lower miles then yours and cleaner outside and in. I wouLdnt ask MORE then 20k for them...price should be 22k but even thats high. Glws from one gtr owner to another. Ill have my white one for sale soon
