I just got my coupe back together, only to blow out an entire corner of the t25 multi-layer metal gasket. I was hoping everything would hold for a while but such is my luck. Car ran great until the other night when I started hearing the leak. I pulled the turbo already and picked up a stock manifold to Cody Ace it with an mvs.
Which gaskets last the longest/ hold up the best? Running 18psi with more boost coming soon. I don't want to pull the turbo again for a while. I was going to call Nissan and order direct from them
Isis turbo manifold
Isis intercooler kit
gt2560r with pure turbo turbo 47/60mm billet wheel
Aem ems
Aem water injection with pre turbo nozzle

OEM gasket is the best. Just need to make sure everything is tight and the turbo wont come loose. That's usually how those gaskets fail.

Nothing beats OEM gaskets.

Right on yea I blew a whole corner out of the manifold to turbo gasket. Already pulled the turbo and got a stock cast mani. Going oem all the way this time, praying that it stays together this time around. Winter is here and I don't want her sitting around for too long. I hate when things fail, only put about 1500 miles on the new setup
Thanks for the replys!

Copper gaskets are better than the oem Nissan, and any knock off type design. Mho
You need to tighten the nuts properly and use some sort of locking technology.

Make sure the flange is not warped, too ... good gaskets can't cure this and will blow too.
I bet that Isis manifold flange is not flat.

Planed surfaces and no gasket
I've never heard any bad experience about this either.

I never had any issues with the oem gasket as long as you have the locking tabs to keep the nuts from vibrating loose.

The manifold was brand new and the flange is straight. Manifold is quality for how cheap they are. In the past, on my vr6 turbo cars, I never ran a gasket.
I bottomed out the exhaust and it must have just been enough to crack the gasket because a whole corner blew out.
I picked up a stock cast manifold and stock t25 for 140 bucks locally. Going to add an external wastegate to the manifold, sand blast and ceramic coat everything. I got the factory heat shields with it too so everything will look super clean all blacked out.
Just have to send the gt25 into pure and get another billet wheel installed

Oem gaskets are great but i would be more for copper gaskets. It's just the way that copper responds when its heated in the application of being in an engine it softens and fills in the gaps and forms very tight seal. Oem is fantastic aswell though

Thanks for the reply! She's back up and running with oem gaskets. So far so good and I've been beating the shit out of it reguraly. Colorado roads can be total shit in some cities. Giant pot holes, deep grooves, big speed bump style bumps and other bullshit to ruin your day.

Back when I had my S13 and an SSAC manifold (remember them!?) I blew out stock gaskets as well. My problem was that the turbo to manifold bolts would work loose and cause the leak. You can use the stock style locking tabs (which like an idiot I tossed) or have someone tack weld the bolts to prevent them from backing out. The tack welding held up to 2 more years of abuse before I sold that car.
Stock gasket is pretty well made, just make sure bolts stay tight and you shouldn't have any problems.

I've got new oem Locking tabs from Nissan, But I have straight through studs so hopefully they hold up for a while, the crap ones I got with my Isis manifold broke when I reinstalled the turbo. They have a Allen head in the stud and that creates a weak point in my opinion
