So I found this guy locally that is planning on doing a ls3 swap in his car and is now wanting to part ways with his sr20det. He gave me a price for the complete swap and I wanted to see what everyone else thought about it. So my question is how much would you guys on here be willing to spend on this set up. And it would be for everything in the top half.

Stock turbo? What's with the 740cc injectors?

Tell him $3,000 installed and you want a 1 year, 10k mile warranty. Don't take no for an answer. You've got this, Mike.

I was gonna say tell him $2250 and it better come with a good stock turbo and turbo manifold.

FWIW, I got my S14 SR swap engine / trans / harness / and a few extras for $1800 picked up. It was stock still, but like this one came out of another already swapped car when the guy got tired of that motor and was moving to a different swap.

740cc injectors, BOV, tuned ECU, and boost controller make me think it might not be a stock turbo, isn't set up for a stock turbo, or maybe the turbo / manifold aren't included?

I worry any time someone adds up all the aftermarket parts they have on something...

He said the turbo is off of a s15. And good call on the manifold I didn't even think about that. He said he would do 2350$ for it and that If I wanted the hks cams and the vvt sprocket he would do 2500$ for it.

And this might be a stupid question but why would I need a piggyback tune on an already tuned ecu?

Some people feel like they need to "fine tune" ROM tunes. They don't.

As long as the ROM tune is specifically programmed for that EXACT set up, you'll be fine with out it.

Pretty good deal with the cams and VVT. Snag it!:2f2f:

Running an SAFC on a ROM tune will actually make it run worse than any "fine tuning" you could possibly do to it. I ran one on my Enthalpy ecu for fine tuning for about a year, one day I finally removed it and the car ran better than it ever had and had more power. If something is genuinely off in the tune, the tuner can and will make you new chips based off of your feedback.

2,500 for everything you wanted and the cams stuff is a good deal imo.

Don't buy it without cams... That's dumb. I'd counter offer $2300 and tell him thats with the cams.
