I have a 92 240sx with an RB26 swap. I have power steering, but I don't like it. All my previous vehicles except my daily had manual steering. I had a flaming river manual rack on my drag mustang before this, is there any vendors out there that make a manual rack for these things? My manual rack & pinion was a little pricey on my mustang, but I am not worried too much at all on price.. Does anyone have a link for anyone selling manual rack & pinions for a 92 240sx?

There are people who have de-powered their racks. From what I gather all they really did was grease the shit out of their rack and plug up the lines.

Yeah, Im may just do that. My RB26 keeps throwing the power steering belt and I dont know how to fix that somewhat cheap.
I seen someone elses rb was throwing the ps belt and they fixed it, but they had to buy an aftermarket harmonic balancer, an aftermarket idler pulley for ps, and underdrive pulley setup.
If I could keep power steering for comfort I guess I would but I dont want to buy all that stuff because it is more $ than I think its worth. Driving with manual steering doesn't bother me, but I guess some may like it.

The only thing I didnt like about manual steering was how I felt like it was floating even at low speed. Like 30MPH on a smooth street felt like 100MPH on a dirt road

Haha, yeah I got used to manual steering in a drag car.. We did anything to lose weight as well and free up drag for that little bit of horsepower.. I liked that feeling in a way, when I got in my fiancee's car with power steering I feel like its too easy to turn or something... Lol
