how do you remove door locks from s14 se with power locks

I've searched and searched and nothing is really helping , there is a white half moon shape keeping me from removing the locks from my s14 se , I removed the small c clip from the back of the lock and it didn't release the lock cylinder. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

I'm worried that removing it wrong could break the power door lock function and that would suck.
