Installed in my 1995 S14 240sx

Ok so Energy Suspension instructions are a little confusing and I searched a lot and didn't find a lot of strong info about doing this so I figured Id help anyone who is looking to do this...

Here is a Walkthrough...

You use 240sx S14 Energy suspension bushings... you need to keep the cup washer that comes with the S14 Diff just remove the rubber by burning it off

The order of instillation is as follows
From top (connecting subframe) to bottom (towards the floor)
1) OEM cup washer with rubber removed
2) thick ES bushing
diff ear
3) Little ES ring with letters facing down
4) OEM big flat washer... courtesy parts #55482-60U1A
5) Bolt...courtesy part #55424-33P00

to remove the OEM J30 bushing and metal sleeve its very simple with no cutting or burning

just grab a 24mm socket and flip the Diff over..place the socket on the bushing and metal sleeve and hammer it out...slides right out no problems...I used aa 24mm socket to start it then went with a 22mm just to be sure my socket wouldn't get stuck in the diff ear...hope this helps everyone with J30 diffs

any questions just ask!

You forgot to mention how much of a pain in the ass it is to press the ES metal bushing in the center. Mine was determined to pop back out!

I did not put the 2 big bushings for the subframe in yet...my old OEM bushings were good I only did the front bushings but putting in the ES Metal sleeve was easy..i just pushed it in with my hands...just use the grease they send with the bushings..in a yellow little container

I used plenty of grease. It was like a hydraulic piston pushing back out on me. Even when I got it halfway in it was slowly pushing back out.

does the j32 diff have the 3x2 axle bolt pattern and is it a direct bolt in in an s13?

You may have created a bit too much of a spacer with that cup washer. S14 from the factory uses a cup washer that form fits the OEM rubber bushing and metal rod. I believe the ES bushings accomodate this extra space with in their bushing height so you won't have to purchase the cup washer. Think how your subframe bushings are mounted.

Here is the OEM cup washer meant to accept the OEM bushing + metal center rod securely...

Mid '94+ J30 has the 3x2 6-bolt axle pattern, S13 pumpkins bolt directly to the metal ear lobes so in order to run an S14/J30 pumpkin you would need a bushing that presses in flush to the thickness of the lobes... I'm sure people have just thrown J30/S14 pumpkins in their S13's with these ES bushings but I wouldn't trust mounting a differential that wasn't perfectly straight.

In the instructions ES sends with the Kit it says you have yo use the OEM cup washer but have to remove the rubber thats on it

That was a bot that was just copying part of what I said. Not sure what the purpose of those accounts are. Pretty sure I'm the only one who has ever had trouble with this lol
