Just doing some homework on a potential project I have brewing. Was interested in converting a 97-98 A/T kouki to 5 speed at some point. Only issue is that I live in an emission county which will fail the inspection for any CEL so I was interested to see how rare the A18-F34-G16 ECUs are? Been looking for some time and haven't found any recently. OBDI are abundant.

I think that one is pretty rare.. They only made something like 5800 97-98's? Probably less then half were manual.

@zombie... Lol well put. Been in the scene since 2002 and I would say most are molested.

Been searching on and off for a few weeks and haven't found any. The OBDI are abundant but the OBDII are more rare than expected. Just my luck the one county out of like 3 in Texas that does emissions testing is where I moved to.

@Spooled....I appreciate the offer. I will shoot you a PM as soon as I figure out what the best option is for me.

A few people told me to look into the P.O. Box thing or Mailbox Rental options in areas where there is no emission requirements. Might be feasible since I do have my LLC officially now. I am new to TX so I would still need to look into that option and outweigh the pros and cons if its even feasible.
