sr20 running below stock boost level?

the stock boost is 7psi, but one of my friends runs at about 6.0 and the other at 6.2 *. is this normal?


edit: *im not sure why i said at idle. :wtf:

its set at stock boost and it only goes to 6 psi. im acutally posting this for the friends with the problem. could there be a boost leak or is this just the way it is?

Could be a boost leak, crappy gauge like my autometer, or the turbo is dying a slow low boosting death.
