I just picked up another hatch. I'm in the process of freshening up a vh45 out of a 95 q45 and have a low mileage z33 6-speed. I also have a 3.5 final drive vlsd from the same q45 (all necessary swap parts as well) but I'm debating with the close gearing of the 6 speed if I would be better off going with the pathfinder 3.1 final drive and picking an aftermarket diff. Any thoughts/ input appreciated

No input here, but I just wanna see this happen. As far as I know, no one has successfully mated a 350Z trans to the VH45. If you're able to swap on a VK45 intake plenum too, I'll award you free internet.

This guy's done it:

Although I'm going to go an easier route and use this:
http://collinsadapters.com/index.php/adapter-plates/nissan/vh45de-to-350z-transmission-adapter-plate.html
It will require me to run both flywheels in order to use the q starter and the z clutch but I'm ok with that

Ahhh... I must have missed that thread somehow. I know about the Collins adapter, I just haven't seen anyone posting that they've used it yet. So many just go cheap with the Z32 trans. Looking forward to your build, man.
