That second picture isn't the same car, it's an actual S15. It looks like the S15 from Ultimate Auto Boutique in Buford, GA. The guy does a lot of custom fiberglass work, and built the entire kit by hand.

I'm guessing that S15 converted S14 was also done by them, and based on the actual S15. He's an extremely talented body/paint guy, but his wife runs the office and is a snake.

Ultimate Auto Boutique in Buford, GA. If it's anything like my experience with them, they'll quote you one price, then charge you double when you go to pick up, with the justification that the quote didn't include paint and materials.

Yup. Now that they are legal in Canada, I see S15's daily (along with R34 GT-T and GTR's weekly). Takes the magic out of it a bit, when anyone with 10 grand can buy one.

Would still love a LHD S15 or R34 though. I can see the kit car approach making something actually unique, especially with people moving towards tube chassis S-cars.

s14 is a much prettier car to begin with so I think it's kind of lame. The fact that it has all sorts of scoops and gills and overhangs just makes it even less appealing.

most of the lhd swap isn't bad. i'd say the part that gets skipped the most is the shifter center console/ebrake area. only because it would have to be a new custom plastic part to look correct. some places in asia have to be lhd so they have no choice but to convert (taiwan, philippines) so there are actually quite a few lhd s15's running around.

I mean, I know it's hard to get them legally, but lets think about this in some different analgies.
A ferarri kit car? Kinda cool. It's not a ferarri, but it looks crazy and probably has a V8. Nifty.

Being that I spent my younger years as a muscle kid, I always (and still) get annoyed at lesser cars with higher badges, IE, a v6 mustang with GT body panels and badges. It's not a GT. Why pretend like it is, or deceive some less keen onlookers? WHY NOT GET A GT?


I know these arent the same years, but I think it still applies. It's not an s15, and it's more than likely not going to have the parts together that make the s15, so why bother?
