If I buy a bare 2jz ge block, with nothing on it, could I put all 2jz gte parts on it? And would that make it a 2jz gte?

If you marry your cousin, have a baby, but it doesn't come out retarded... is it still an inbred?
I bet google knows, brb.

I've tried searching, but all I can find is that the GE is the non turbo version of the GTE. Nothing about oil galleys, bore or other block parts.

Don't convert parts unless you have to. Swap in the GTE head if needed and call it a day. GE block is ver capable and if memory serves me right has no oil squirters.

Ok I am pretty versed on 2j's so I can help you out. The GE block is the exact same as GTE block except for the GTE having oil squirters. If you wish you could even drill and install the squirters into a GE block but it is not needed. GTE has it because stock pistons were designed to be cooled by the squirters.
The GE and GTE share the same crank and rods. Pistons are different between the two. You could swap GTE pistons and head onto a GE no problem.

You don't need oil squirters btw. Plenty of folks on the NA-T site that were at or above 1k rwhp with no issues. Back when I did the swap there weren't many NA-T cams or front facing intakes. Now they are abundant. I had swapped the GTE CPS which was a pain in the ass endeavor so I finally just swapped on a GTE head onto the GTE block.

The real pain in the ass will be finding a manual transmission... Getrag transmissions are $7000 and r154 transmissions are $5000 new.

Pontiac solstice trans is 1100 new, but yeah. Expensive swap and judging from your previous posts it doesn't look like you have a lot of spending money.

Geez guess someone got a deal when I sold my R154 with all MC upgrades and a fresh rebuild for $1750 shipped but that was about 2 years ago. They are becoming rare for sure and if you want big power the Getrag is the only way to go if you are sticking with Toyota....but the price. Another option is swapping the 350z CD009 trans which is a beast in stock form. My buddy did it with this adapter and had no issues http://collinsadapters.com/index.php/2jz-to-supra-complete-swap-kit.html. He picked up the trans with under 30k miles for about $600 shipped in mint condition.

Wow, they sure did get a deal. I'll think about my trans options when I get closer to swap time. Maybe I can luck out and get one out of a wrecked TT Supra :)

what about the oil feed and coolant feeds for the turbochargers? And the oil drain back to the pan?

The GE block has the provisions for the oil feed, just needs to be drilled out I think. Coolant feeds I'm not too sure.

Feed can be had off the IS300 oil filter union bolt. Oil return I just welded a setup onto the oil pan. Took my buddy's advice on the feed setup and worked like a charm. Here is my old thread and how to access ant tap the oil pressure sensor area and get a direct feed of oil. Done right I can't recall one failure due to oil pressure.
