High Mileage vLSD, still good?

Yea my friend is selling me a high mileage vlsd off a usdm s14 for $200. 170k miles, now i am just wondering if the mileage will affect anything. He did told me when he took the lsd off, the oil is very black so the original owner of the car don't seem to take care of it much. I am in the market for a LSD. I am down between either to spend 900 for a deft force carbon 2 way LSD or this...

mine has 140,000+ and it's dead. Tried to change the fluid and the old fluid was pretty clean. If i had the cash I'd go for new lsd.

170k on my 92 krms13 and the vlsd is still kickin, i guess it just all depends on the history on the diff

personally i wouldnt do it if your going to go to the trouble of changing the diffs just save for a 2 way or 1.5
