When I bough my s13, one of the main goals was to have a hands on project that would allow me to lean and practice all sorts of things. One of those being welding.
One project is to replace the godawful piece of pipe that was placed as a makeshift test pipe. I have access to both a stick and MIG welder. Anyone has ever tried to cut and weld 3" pieces of stainless pipes to make exhaust parts as DIYers? I plan on using the existing flanges.
If it's too expensive/tough I might just have to buy outright though, but making my own would be nice.
Here's what's currently on there.

EDIT: Looking at the picture again, reusing the flanges might not be possible for 3". This makes things harder...
