This is for a hpde/track car. I am trying to get the front cover done before I paint the car. I am thinking of just putting 3-5 circular holes above the bumper to introduce more air thru that area. Looking for some ideas. I have a 92 if that makes any difference.

there's a guy on here that put a pignose style slit in his front bumper, probably about 12" long iirc? it looked clean, and functional.

the first and most obvious thing would be to remove those plastic grills under the driving lights, or DRLs if youre canadian (not that you are, but just to cover the bases).

Those are going to be used for oil coolers or brake ducting at some point. Its the above the bumper part i want to see ideas for.

The grills I have are vented... so they are pretty much open. I get venting, but not to the rad because of the shape of the bumper.

yeah, i just figure an open hole does more than a vent, albeit not by much.

Did some searching and I found this pic. This is what I think I might like as far as a cutout over the bumper support.

I just plan on ducting the air from the large center opening on the bottom

There is a deal on a new cooling panel from Enjuku racing for the top
http://www.zilvia.net/f/showthread.php?t=59583 --Fits great by the way.

Next weekend I plan on boxing in the sides of the Intercooler and radiator so it has no where to go but through the radiator and out.

I dont see the slit above the bumper being as beneficial as cutting out the bumper area, but i guess if you keep the bumper support it works.

You could easily get a 3 inch by 15 inch opening above the bumper. That would feed a good size intercooler mounted by the hood with a exhaust area cut into the hood. Then you don't block the radiator at all. That is the plan. I have decided to go with the Supra style one. I will make it myself with some fiberglass and other things.

I cut my S14 zenki bumper like that too, I've already made a mold for the vent/duct that could potentially help guide the air through the opening. I'm going to make a few copies just incase I ram into shit I could just pop it out and glue the new one in.
