For Sale Four (4) Extremely Rare Polished Desmond Regamaster Evo

Condition: Used
Rim Material: Forged Aluminum

Description:
There are some minor scratches on the lips (added photos to show how small they are). Before taking following photos I washed them and slightly polished, but in order to have the best look of the rims I advise to apply additional polishing and cleaning. If you need more photos, feel free to request.

Item location: Moscow, Russia

Price: $3500 for the rims only OBO. I can add tires you see on photos for free. PayPal transaction is preferable.

Shipping: $500 to United States w/o tires (EMS). There will be four packages with four tracking numbers. Please, request shipping pricing for any other country. Note that adding tires increase shipping fee, so I should check postal requirements first and calculate new shipping price to your country.

Beautiful wheels, but they look like Marquis Promadas to me. As far as I know, Evos did not come with snouts to accept center caps. Evos had a flat bolt/hub area with a center bore that appeared much larger from the front.

I guess you are right.
Note: Desmond made 2 types of RegaMasters, the Evo and the Marquis Promada. The former is slightly more rare but is not offered in many of the larger sizings. To tell the difference between Evos and Marquis Promadas (MP), look at the hub. MP’s will have a raised hub area for the center caps. Additionally, they also have a recessed groove that circumvent the inside edge of the spokes.

Is there a great difference between Evo and MP (except hub)?

Depending on the diameter of the wheel, smaller sizes had several differentiations while larger diameters were primarily the hub area. Yours are standard Regamasters, not Evos. Technically Desmond never marketed their wheels as Marquis Promada, that was just a marking on the wheel box and people began calling them MP based on that. Their catalog only denoted them as Regamaster, Regamaster Bright and Regamaster Evo. There are actually aluminum center caps for the Evos that fit in from the back side of the wheel, but they are rarer than the wheels themselves.

From a value perspective, generally the Evos are worth a bit more, with actual specs making even more of a value impact. Given yours are the largest specs Desmond produced, they were only built-to-order and they were only directly made for the R33 GTR, they're easily worth your asking price compared to other sets that have sold in the past few years. These are a bit rich for the typical zilvian, but if you can find an Evo or Subie owner running wide fenders, they would be excellent. The offsets are your biggest killer, the +45 would be more versatile given the squared setup so people could use spacers to dial in their ideal offsets.

You might end up doing better pairing them out since the specs are great for the back of a rwd car. Glws, best wheels out there imo. Quality doesn't get any better than these.

Well just for a reference point, a pair with your specs typically runs between $2k-2200. Might take a bit longer to find 2 buyers, but then again it might not and an extra $1k seems worth the effort imo. Good luck either way, I'm sure you won't have much trouble.
