Well, I found a beautiful s14 zenki, but the problem is its 3:30 hours from me and the torque converter is locked up. Is anyone between Washington DC and Pittsburgh that would bring it to me? I will pay you a good amount. Just say I'll do it ___ and I'll say if that's good. Thanks.

Lol this thing is still going on?
You told us you were going to get it, then told us he was delivering it, then posted in other threads like you already have it.
Also what the hell does, "Just say I'll do it blank and I'll say if thats good" even mean..?
on second thought, you say beautiful s14. I must be mistaken for another car..

Im not sure ive ever heard of a torque converter "locking up" except when it literally engages its converter clutch, in which case it is "locked up" but would still drive.

Yea, it's weird isn't it. I don't mind replacing a ka motor/trans since they are so cheap.

Ugh... Just wait, a good 240 will pop up, you're gonna waste so much money on that car. paint job and body work 2-4.5k, engine/trans swap 750-4.5k, wheels 500-3k, suspension 500-2k, etc.
I was in the same situation as you once, I had the money and wanted a 240 but couldn't find one. hell I even considered a black s13 that smoked, and it had a cage, a black stripped interior, and no ac, but I waited and it worked out, just be patient trust me.

Also, thanks a LOT Kingtal0n, I will do that! The guy is driving it up to me for free! I'm so glad I found this car.
WTF?!?! So since agreeing to buy it, the TC locks up on you?!?!?

Alright, let me explain everything again so that there is no confusion.
I was looking over the ad for that blue 240sx again and I noticed that in the car info sidebar it said title was "salvage". He had not mentioned any accidents in the ad so I texted him asking if it was in any accidents. He said that it had been in a rear end collision that had been repaired. I have never trusted vehicles with salvage titles so I looked for another car. I found a white 1995 240sx for $1550, the only problem was it didn't start. It had a ka24de engine which are really cheap as dirt/free from swap shops that got them from customers and Craigslist sellers that did a swap.
I hope that helped with anyone's confusion.

Good KA's are not that easy to find.
Same thing I told you over PM before I agree to move it. Go look at it, pay for it, and get the title from the guy. If someone moves that for you and you give them cash to buy it sight unseen you are gonna get what you are gonna get and it's not gonna be their problem.
Also a torque converter being locked up won't make a car not start. It might make it stall when I comes to idle because it is still trying to move the car but it should start in park just fine.

Damn, when did KA's get "cheap"? I remember late 90s & early 2000's when they were free or actually cheap.

google search, took 5 seconds.
You're going to have more of a pain in the ass with that thing than you think. Imagine needing new everything...spend $1550 for car and then spend another $1550 to get it decent plus the 200 to ship it...is that car worth ~$3500?
