Have a red top s13 Sr20det, at cold start it blows out a lot smoke whitish grey from the back end of the exhaust pipe and then goes away when warmed up and driving. It comes back a little more when idling in traffic or under boost or during drifting at the events.

First sr20det did this also.. the current one has been leak-down tested in the cylinder and all came out equal and fine. We thought it was the turbo going bad? so we swapped in my new tomei turbo exhaust manifold, and elbow. so can't be the turbo, because it still doing this.

Then we figured it might be valve seals, so we rebuilt the head, tomei cams, valve seals, springs, retainers, lifters, etc. metal head gasket and put everything back together. and tuned it and with all other supporting mods made a solid 377 hp.

However car still smokes. and I have to check the oil level in the car at least once a week or two to fill it up back a quart of oil. because it goes from full to a little below low level.

Does anyone know what this could be?

thanks
