1977 Datsun 280z For Sale/ Trade
This is a project that is currently in process. I bought the car with intentions on driving it to California. I'm moving and might not have the complete means and money for finishing the car. Unfortunately things never go as planned and need to move on so the car will stay here while I go to Cali. The engine was a full drop out from a 99 TransAm LS1/T56 car. Only 90,xxx miles on the original car. Everything for the swap was bought brand new excluding the alternator.

Unfortunately with my luck I was sold a trans that was on its last leg. After test driving the car a few times I did one good pull in 3rd and by the end of it the car was stuck in 3rd. Trans will need rebuilt. Most likely the 3-4 synchro finally took a crap during the high RPM pull. Full rebuilt kit for tans is only $325

Car also comes with a set of Sparco seats for right price.

I'm sure I'm missing plenty of parts, but car currently runs and drives in 3rd. Lol could even drive onto a trailer. Starts up with no hesitation, but could use a tune I'm sure once exhaust is put on. Drove the car with no issues until trans prob. Once fixed
Car is a perfect start. Only needs gauges, brakes, and accessories and appearance items to make perfectly road ready.

I am interested in trades for something that won't need much work at all or no work at all. Must be MANUAL, would prefer something quick, fast, or reliable.
Can price is $8700 obo

the s30 chassis 2+2 are not as sought after as the 2 seater variety. that is putting that very lightly. however, it is useful to have that back seat even though they are cramped, but its pretty universally agreed upon that the 2+2 takes away from the great body lines that people love about s30s.

source: I have an s30.

good luck with sale though, im sure someone will see past that to pick up this beast. regardless of 2+2, an ls1 in these things are beastly. on the upside, you can snap 4 necks instead of just 2 with that trq.
