I wanted to know if anyone would know why at about 80-90 my steering wheel shakes? I just balanced my tires. What else could it be? Help!

Kevin...you shit...give him more clues!!!...hahaha..

Look under Power Steering Rack.

Nissan issued a Technical Service Bulletin on it...apparently a lot of 89-90 owners were getting shaking in their power steering racks while doing about 50-60 mph.

Kev...is there a place where we can post repair instructions??
Add like a few photos & how to type instructions??

It shakes between 80-90mph, because 240's can't go that fast. Now Civics, they can do at least 150mph smooth as glass.

Seriouly though, there are a number of factors that could cause the steering wheel to shake. Alignment, suspension, tire balance, etc., etc. Do as much research as you can, and just take it to a shop if you can't figure it out. Good Luck.

so are you guys saying your steering wheels are perfectly smooth at 80-90mph? I've always been used to a little vibration.
