my new seats installed today! 2003 celica leather seats :-D they werent hard to get in at all. 3 out of 4 bolts line up but it takes modification. this is what i did.
the stock brackets on a celica have an alignment pin you gotta sawzall off or grind off.
Then i took a dremel and ground the hole for the bolt higher and wider.
then you have to take a grinder and V out the bracket near the edge of the rail piece so you can bend the thing with some channel locks or pliers or something. you can install the seat in your car then bend estimatedly and then bolt them down tight to make sure it bends to the right spot.
i then pulled it out and welded in the v i grooved out and ground things nice and smooth. i threw a quick coat of paint over everything and installed them.
the rear outermost bolt bracket on each side doesnt line up. a bracket is going to be made to make the seat install with a piece of aluminum and a stud pressed into it and a hole on the other side. the hole will have the stock bolting location for the stock seats and the stock bolt while the pressed in stud on the other side goes into the stock celica seat bracket. the seat needs to be lifted about 3/4 of an inch there so a spacer of some sort on top of the bracket should be used. other whise the seat sits kinda crooked. with that installed i noticed i sit probabbly just under an inch higher if not 3/4 an inch than stock seats. i had skyline seats before and the celica seats are much better. just clears the s13 interior and the bottom bracket touches the floor a little so you gotta push a little harder when adjusting the seat. overall these are EXCELLENT SEATS that i got for a hella cheap steal :-) usually you can get them about 400 or so and for a pair of seats they work so nicely in our cars. yea i know i know this thread is worthless without pics but i had to post. im gonna get some pics hopefully tomorrow at some point and ill put them up.
update: these seats have withstood the test of time. i have yet to create the 4th hole bracket because im lazy :rawk: lol and partially because even though i whip around all the time to the limits of my tires I still have yet to see the seat move on me. Highly recommended to anyone who wants a nice set of seats :-)

the fabrication on the rails is going to be intense... not to be a negative nancy, but I tried putting in my 01 Sentra seats in my S13... the rails dont even bolt to the underside of the seat in the same way. The bolt patterns on the floor are a flat 17"x17". No side bolt, no humps in the floor. The base of the seat needs bolts that go straight up into the seat while the S13 has them on the side... you'd need a ton of fabrication to get them to fit...
Also, the seats from the sentra sit very high up... you'd feel like you're in a truck or hit your head on the roof or something.... good luck, to ya, but i gave it up and put my seats for sale on ebay....
if you got questions just ask me

I have the GT-Rs and my friend has the celica seats. My friend likes my GT-Rs more than his celica seats. The support on the GT-Rs are better than the celica around the shoulders. Plus, riding in leather seats, doesn't grab you as well as cloth material. The celica seats seem good for the price though. Not bad for people that can weld, this would be easy.

the seats are bottom mount for the most part, u can easialy fab the inner tunnel rail to bolt to a bottom mount seat, for 200 bucks ill give it a shot. Worst comes to worst my friends shop can fab me some rails for like 100 bucks and they said they can make em fit. If not im sure i can sell em for what i paid

overall the install wasnt that bad at all. these seats rock and do hold you in alot better than stock 240 seats. its very possible they can be bent like the 240 seats as well to hold you more but they work great as is! i think these seats look awesome and are very aesthetically pleasing. to me they look like a set of racing seats such as a torino or similar seat in leather. the only problem with them right now is i havent propped up the side enough so it sits a little crooked. once i put in an adapter and spacer they will just be perfect... i may have paid 200 but everyone else would probabbly get a set for around 400, where else can you get a pair of seats that holds you well and was well designed and comfortable to last and make easily fit right for your car for 400? (pep boys seats dont count kids)

Is it just me or do the seats looks slanted , like the driver one looks slanted. Maybe its just the view

not my cup of tea, but if u like em thats great

zemus yes they are slanted thats what i was saying about the rear corner needing a lifting spacer. i need to jack the rear outside corner of these seats up because of the way they mount. it looks crappy now with that slant and it makes it suck to drive with but with something temporarily under that corner till i can make something its great.

i think 350z seats are "okay" they arent great, they are pretty mediocre.. but better than stock.
i think celica seats are crap, i think they are hard and that they are pretty uncomfortable.
i think the S14 seats are acceptable quality, pretty much just as comfortable as Z33 seats but the Z33 seats "look" more sporty.
i've driven Z33 and Celica for weeks, so I know these cars well enough to comment. I've also had S13 and S14 seats. I've sat in S15 seats, those are definately better than S14.. good buy.
BUT, IMO.. best seat you can get is a Skyline seat -- beats any other seat I've ever sat in. If you're going to get another seat to fit, work on the 2002 Civic SI.. those seats are pretty damn awesome, very similar to R32.

ive had r32 skyline seats and the other problem with our cars is fitment. i sold the skyline seats because you whack your knees on the dash with them and its not comfortable. ive yet to sit in a 350z seat or an s15 seat so i cant vouch for that. celica seats are definitely an improvement over the stock s13 seats anyday. im probabbly gonna take them apart and bend them around to grab you a little bit more but they can hold you fairly well. ive got a bride brix II in my basement im gonna sell because these seemed more practicle for a daily driver without those huge knee bolsters. to each his own though its all in your sitting position driving style and body build...
